.Rai
Yo, Alfred, why you be making crazy themes? It does say "ATK of the attacking monster" even if your Monk is attacking. It basically means you can double a Monk's ATK, if you target the monk, of course. Edit: Fixing spelling error. This card cannot be Summoned. When a "Chu-Ske the Mouse Fighter", "Monk Fighter", or "Master Monk" you control attacks or is attacked: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; Negate the attack and Special Summon 1 “Monastery Golem Token” (Rock-Type/EARTH/Level 2/ATK ?/ATK ?) to your side of the field. The “Monastery Golem Token’s” ATK is equal to the ATK of the attacking monster. Banish this card from your Graveyard and destroy all “Monastery Golem Tokens” you control: Increase the ATK of 1 monster you control by the "Monastery Golem Token’s” ATK.

Mehmani
Wording/Grammar = 10/10 Creativity = 13/20 Balance = 18/30 Viability = 21/40 62% = C My single opening thought was...BY GOD are you good at aesthetics. Wording and Grammar, I acknowledge that you aren't using new OCG but as it was only recently implemented that's excusable. You have a serial number, a correct set ID, the right copyright, an accurate edition and you remembered to give it the 1st Edition gold sticker. There's a japtribute, but as you actually put work into giving it all the realistic aesthetics you deserve full marks. Have a customary like for breaking the previous record of 9/10. Creativity-wise...hmm. It supports the archetype pretty damn well, giving it field presence (a very important factor - a beatdown-orientated archetype with little members' main problems are S/T game control and field presence) and contributing to the beat power that wins Monk decks (however rare they are) games. The whole summon token thing was clearly inspired by Gorz, but one feels you could do much more with it, play around with it more. Still, you get a nice-ish mark. When it comes to Balance, although it sets out to do something and does it it just isn't good enough. I chose this challenge because it required you to have knowledge of small archetypes (or research them well), to be able to understand balance levels (a big problem in RC) and to know what problems small archetypes tend to have and how to address them. Although one will not give away the winning formula (as such), you do get a clue - power levels are relative. As Deustodo said, "I don't make overpowered cards. I just make cards that people think are overpowered." Relatively speaking, giving a small archetype a very powerful card is fine. Machinas have Fortress. If you released a Blackwing version of Fortress when BWs were at their peak format (a couple of years ago now), people would have gone mad. As you can probably ascertain, brokenness is fine in small doses, or more accurately, when given to weak archetypes. Viability is different - the perfect entry should be powerful enough to make Monks a strong archetype, but not too powerful to make them work entirely around said card. As this card is not strong enough, you only get a middling mark. That being said, the support is good enough to push Monks up a bit. Work harder and you will improve. Two points, sir. .Rai
I do agree with you, sir, in nearly everything there. Viability is somewhat higher than you think, but Monks do suffer from rather inconsistent field control without Lone Wolf or similar. So I'm actually happy-ish here too. I'm happy anyhow. Monks aren't my expertise as it's a rather small archetype, and I'm more used to the more mainstream TCG meta stuff. Thanks for the points <
ragnarok1945
making the tokens = the atk of the attacking monster is too much, they'll become too powerful especially at the last effect where you're adding the tokens' atk to another monster. At the very least you should have made that atk gain last only 1 turn, not permanent
.Rai
It's a Monk specific Gorz. But boosted, simply because Monks are weak.
