Outside of times when DN hates me and won't give me a monster, I really haven't had any issues. I'm not saying it can't/won't happen, it's Tuningware, and it is a real possibility, but that usually only comes up when I get multiple Tuningwares in my opening hand. Even then, I can usually get out of it.

I have been considering running Tengus, but I am really on the fence about them. On one hand, they can give me quite a bit to synchro with. On the other hand, That's an extra normal summon to slow things down... And before that, I think I want to add a Debris Dragon.

Not at all. The main problem with Tuningware was getting it to the grave quickly and reliably. Scrap Recycler is a nice way to start the game and get everything going. It gives the deck something it lacked. Consistency.
