New Archetype. Yay. [5/??]

Yay for cardmaking. I decided to make more cards and stuff. I'm not up to the current game, and I'm not the best ever, so don't expect me to know everything. Criticism is welcomed, I just don't want any RC drama bullsh*t. It's for fun.

Kay here ya go. I'm unsure about the playability of these, I'm just toying around with something new.

FLIP: Send 1 monster your opponent controls to the bottom of their Deck. Their Deck is then shuffled. If you activate this effect, you can Special Summon 1 "Hephaestus the Wise" from your hand or Deck.
Once per turn, you can send 1 card from your hand to the bottom of your Deck. Your Deck is then shuffled. Each time a card is sent from either you or your opponent's hand or field back to their Decks, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Wise" monster from your hand. If there are no cards in your hand, draw 1 card.

If you control 2 "Wise" monsters, this card cannot be destroyed. Each time a card is sent to the Deck from the field or the hand, increase the ATK and DEF of all "Wise" monsters you control by 200. Once per turn, if you control a "Wise" monster, you can pay 1000 Life Points to Special Summon 1 "Wise" monster of the same name from your hand or Deck.
This monster can only be Normal Summoned by Tributing 2 "Wise" monsters you control. If "Mount Olympus" is on the field, this card is unaffected by monster effects. While this card is on the field, whenever a monster is Summoned, it is returned to the bottom of its owner's Deck at the End Phase. The Deck is then shuffled.
k thx. Will be updated as long as people care to see more.

These don't look bad. I'm not sure if they'd be overly competitive, but they look as though they could be fun, at least for you. The ability to Special Summon other copies of the fist two seems a bit iffy, because you're removing your opponent's cards, but since the one with better ATK can only be summoned from the hand it should be fine. Maybe you could restrict the monster summoned by the effects from being used as an Xyz Material, but it's not vital.

Replace everything like this:

"Send [whatever] to the bottom of [player's] Deck. [Player's] Deck is then shuffled."

with:

"Return [whatever] to your (opponent's) Deck."

There's no point in sending it to the bottom just to shuffle, and simply returning it, with no further instructions, means to shuffle it back in.

Also, for the field, it should be unable to be destroyed by card effects. Preventing all destruction causes issues, because playing another field spell destroys the first one through game mechanics, and technically your card's effect prevents this.

Also, make it "The Wise" rather than "Wise", so as to limit what unrelated real cards might end up being part of the archetype because of their name.

I believe it is fine the way he has it. If I'm correct, what decides a card's name as relevant to an Archetype or not, or whether or not a card is declared apart of said archetype is Specific Japanese Spelling. If 2 cards had Ancient in it but the Ancient parts where spelled or looked dfferent, they would not be considered to be apart of the same archetype.

They decided that with Oscillo Hero and Watts and many other cards.

If 2 cards had Ancient in it but the Ancient parts where spelled or looked different, they would not be considered to be apart of the same archetype.

Err... I don't understand this. The example you gave kind of proved the opposite... Since the TCG proved Oscillo Hero #2 to be a member of the Watt archetype. I don't understand this post at all.

Not gonna lie, as it is Kronos seems kind of broken. :| Run 3x Amazoness Trainee in this deck and you'll be getting +1s like crazy.

Hmm...Really? Perhaps I got confused. However, the rest of he post is understandable unless you're going solely based on the example. Since you understood the error of the example you should get the point being made.

Whilst it's the OCG name that determines what is or isn't in an archetype, the more distinct a TGC name for the archetype is, the easier it is to avoid having random cards share the name in the TGC but not in the OCG, and thus either need a rename or need excluding every time the archetype is named - like Harpie's Brother. "Wise" includes Wisel and Fronteir Wiseman, both of which have completely different OCG names, meaning one or both would have to be excluded. Making this set "The Wise" means another term can be used in the OCG, which doesn't overlap with either of them and thus causes no naming conflicts with existing cards.

As for first comment, I have no idea what an Xyz is.
Xyz Monsters are a new monster type, which can be summoned with monsters of the same level. Since the first two cards both summon another copy, they can summon a number of them easily. It would be a good idea to look them up to find out more about them, and if you decide it's too much to be able to summon them add the restriction on use as Xyz Material.

Mythologies are already a part of the real game - see the Egyptian and Nordic Gods. Greek (and Roman) Mythology is there too, in the names of some of the fairies - when you have a monster named simply "Athena", it's pretty clear the mythos is free to be used in realistic cards.

Mythology isn't pop culture. A set based on something like Percy Jackson would be, but this isn't.

OT: Neptune seems fine, although returning all your opponent's monsters at the end of the turn may be a little too much.
