[M.D.] Phoenix Channeler

Max Darkness

Recommended Posts

Providing a third trump card for the "Phoenix" Gemini Archetype (after "Phoenix Gearfried" and "Phoenix Seraph"), this gives a new angle to Main Deck monsters; and an unexpected defense against your opponent's Traps.

Enjoy.

Effect: Any card used to Summon this card is attached to this card. This card is treated as a Normal Monster while on the field and in the Graveyard. You can Normal Summon this card on the field: It is treated as an Effect Monster, and gains the following effect:
* Twice: You can reveal 1 FIRE Gemini Monster in your hand; Attach it to this card. You can detach 1 card attached to this card: Special Summon 1 Gemini Monster from your Graveyard OR have 1 Gemini Monster gain its effect. When this card would be destroyed or banished by an opponent's card effect: You can banish this card; Inflict 1000 damage to your opponent for each attached card.

Note: The first effect is a Condition Effect.

given the 1000 burn per attachment, why isn't there a max limit to how many cards that can be attached?

Because it would be difficult to get more than 2 cards attached to it at a time. Tribute Summoning it would be a rare option (since Geminis thrive on Graveyard Special Summoning), and generally, it would be a better strategy to Summon your Geminis from your hand (and give them their effects) rather than attach them to this, unless you knew what your opponent was planning. So overall, the most you could get out of it (feasably) would be 4000; but more likely 1000 or 2000, and it needs to be an opponent's card effect to set it off.
