krlsmnk
So the whole idea here is to mesh Machines and Dragons for kind of a "Steampunk-Dragon" feel. The idea is that the Dragons magically infused their life force into a crippled machine (hence fusion and synchros). _________________________________________________________________________________________ _ You can discard this card to add one level 4 or lower Dragon or Machine-type monster from your deck to your hand. Science and Magic has to be destroyed or banished by a card effect, you cannot simply play a field spell over top of it. *Would recommend limiting it to 2* Prototype Manufacturing does not allow you to discard, it merely activates when you DO discard. You must use other cards to gain full use of its second effect. *recommend limiting this to 2* Since most Prototypes are treated as Dragons in the Graveyard, you can recycle them using cards like "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon." Prototypes are NOT treated as Dragons in the deck, preventing them from being used for Future Fusion or cards that special summon other monsters from the deck (like masked dragon, if any of them would have met the requirement). krlsmnk
The Reason I would keep Science and Magic at 2 is because MST easily cripples it, as does heavy storm. You need at least 1 replacement. MKII needs to be limited to 1 or 2 because it's like being able to run 6 of any card like "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon." There's so many choices and so many OP monsters you can get with this, it needs to be limited. Same for MKI, it's a lot like Reinforcement of the Army, but with less restrictions. I'll probably bump DXL up to 4000 or 4500... maybe 5. I'm leaving its effect as-is. If I changed it to your idea, it would protect other cards, extending its power. It's current effect makes it, and it only, immune to cards like Gravity Bind and Level Limit Area - B because they don't specifically target. Because there are no requirements to Special Summon DXL, you can use Monster Reborn, Call of the Haunted, or Red-Eyes Darkness Metal to recycle it from the graveyard. With Prototype Manufacturing he's fairly easy to get on the field. I like the additions to Brass, Bronze, and Copper. I had originally decided that I would make them all Synchros and just make them different levels, that way as long as you had the tuner and a non-tuner, you could make a Prototype and prepare your graveyard for Platinum. Iron is a level 4 Synchro with 2200 defense, he's more of a blocker than anything else.
superandre34
still, i think brass should have some playability while on the field. He shouldnt be fodder
krlsmnk
New support cards for Prototype Archetype: ___________________________________________________________________________________________ If this face-down card would be destroyed, you may activate it to negate the effect that would have destroyed it. Then, you can Special Summon as many Prototype monsters as possible from your Graveyard in face-up attack position. When this card is destroyed, banish all monsters Special Summoned by this effect. When this card is Normal Summoned, take control of 1 monster your opponent controls until the End Phase. It cannot declare an attack or be Tributed. It cannot be used as Synchro Material if this card is used as a Tuner this turn. Once per turn, you can equip this card to a Prototype monster you control as an Equip Card OR Special Summon it to your side of the field. A monster equipped with this card is unaffected by cards that do not specifically designate it as a target. If the equipped monster would be destroyed, you can destroy this card instead. You can send 1 card from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard to Special Summon this card from your hand or Graveyard. Each player may only use the effect of "Prototype Micro Adjuster" once per duel. You may pay 500 Life Points to Special Summon this card from your hand. You may pay 2000 Life Points to Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. Each player may only use these effects once each. You can discard 1 card from you hand to Special Summon this card from your hand. You can discard one card (except this card) to Special Summon this card from your hand. This card cannot be used for Synchro Material, except for the Synchro Summon of a Machine-type monster. You can discard this card to add one level 4 or lower Prototype monster from your Graveyard to your hand. 2 Tuner Monsters When this card is Synchro Summoned, draw 1 card. If this card is used for the Synchro Summon of a non-Prototype Monster, send 2 cards from the top of your deck to the Graveyard, then banish 2 cards in your Graveyard. Discard 2 cards, then select 1 Prototype monster you control. Until the End Phase of this turn, that monster cannot be destroyed by battle, you take no battle damage from battles involving that monster, it is unaffected by card effects, and any monster that battles it is destroyed after Damage Calculation. Discard 2 cards, then select 1 Prototype monster you control. Until the End Phase of this turn, that monster can attack your opponent's Life Points directly, is unaffected by card affects, and if it inflicts battle damage, your opponent must send 1 monster they control to the Graveyard. Activate only when a card effect would destroy a Prototype card you control. Negate the effect and Special Summon 1 Prototype monster from your deck in Attack Position. It's effect is negated while it is face-up on the field. _________________________________________________________________________________________ Things to note: An loop can be created with 2 Prototype Craftsman and Prototype Manufacturing (from the original list). You would need 2 Craftsman, 1 to be in Grave and the other in hand. You can now feed your Grave and thin your deck by discarding craftsman, triggering Manufacturing's secondary effect. Many of the monsters may be Special Summoned by discarding, which would trigger Prototype Manufacturing's secondary effect. This Archetype will do well as long as you maintain draw power. ragnarok1945
for Just a little more time you need restrictions on the special summoned monsters in this way Steam Drone's effect is virtually the same as The Tricky, might want to change that up a bit
