Muluck
This is why portions of our legal system, (in America) are messed up. Emotions get in the way of a fair verdict, often more in innocent cases than in guilty cases. Even in guilty cases, the accused spend their life trying to prove to people that they have changed, but often emotions prevent reprieves of their punishment. I read an article about two friends, one of them currently in prison and the other holding the power to release this man from prison. The friend with the power refuses to do so because of the fact that his friend turned out to be someone who he despised, even though before the man who is in prison did what he did, they were what some could say as the best of friends. Some people just don't like to let go of the past, and others live their life trying to correct it. It seems I got a little carried away, my apologies. But I do rather like this topic.
