Matador Chevalier (Last Gemini for a while)

I'll probably be focussing more on my new Spirit archetype for the time being, so this is the last of the 'Scarlet Geminis'.

Enjoy.

Effect: When a FIRE Gemini Monster destroys an opponent's monster, except by battle: You can Special Summon this card (from your hand), and draw 1 card; That card cannot be used this turn. This card is treated as a Normal Monster while on the field and in the Graveyard. You can Normal Summon this card on the field: It is treated as an Effect Monster, and gains the following effect:
* When this card would battle: You can switch that battle to a different FIRE Gemini Monster you control; Your opponent loses 400 Life Points.

Image is awesome.
Seems to be interesting support for your Scarlet Gemini archetype, I'd maybe add one small cost for the special summoning effect, but maybe it's just me. Overall, creative and good support. You might want to rephrase that last bit somehow, to avoid confusion.
Maybe like this:
"If this card attacks or is attacked: You can switch the attack target to another FIRE Gemini Monster you control instead: Inflict 400 points of damage to your opponent.
^Or, I dunno really. First part seems correct.
And I'm guessing the theme here is how matadors in real life trick bulls into attacking by angering them right?

Considering a large number of my FIRE Gemini Monsters focus on swarming and burning, its Special Summoning conditions are actually relatively difficult to fulfill. Only 'Evocator Chevalier' and 'Phoenix Gearfried' would be reliable sources of triggers.

Exactly. And then getting out the way to stab the bull (inflicting damage).

The 'Your opponent loses Life Points' part is designed to bypass anti-burn by not technically inflicting damage to your opponent. And the first part of the effect is designed to be very subtly complex. This is how it works:

Your opponent's turn: Your opponent's monster attacks 'Matador Chevalier' and makes it to the beginning of the Damage Step. You then switch 'Matador Chevalier' with 'Phoenix Gearfried', and the Damage Step goes through with your opponent's monster battling 'Phoenix Gearfried'. However, your opponent's monster never attacked 'Phoenix Gearfried', so effects that would rely on that can't activate.

Your turn: You attack your opponent's monster with 'Matador Chevalier'. At the start of the Damage Step, you switch 'Matador Chevalier' with 'Phoenix Gearfried', and 'Phoenix Gearfried' is applied for that battle. After that, 'Matador Chevalier' has already attacked, but 'Phoenix Gearfried' has not, so may attack (that attack being treated as its first that turn).

quite the impressive effect

only the 400 LP loss at the end I don't see why you attached that in there

The 400LP loss is there for two reasons. One, aesthetics, because matadors usually end up stabbing the bull they're fighting (hence the damage), and two, because the Scarlet Geminis span two main Types, Warriors and Pyros. The Warriors swarm, while the Pyros 'burn'. This is a card to unite the two strategies, so to add some extra crossover of useable monsters.
