jabber2033
Since sbnate started a contest, I assume deck-building contests are still allowed. This one is for WC2011. I'm just looking for a good Turbo deck I can use. Can't build those to save my life. There will be 10 entries total. And stick to the Sept 2011 Ban List. The winners will be chosen based on their decks' win-loss-draw records after 10 duels. Prizes: Winner: 5 Likes Runner up: 3 Likes 3rd Place: 1 Like The prizes might change. I'm just assuming that the same user can give more than one Like to the same post/member. Correct me if I'm wrong. I do have all the cards in the game, so that isn't an issue. No entries after Nov 5. GO. Entries: 1.) Rupert Giles
Monsters(12) 5x Exodia Pieces. 3x Emissary of the Afterlife 1x Marshmallon 1x Sangan 1x Skelengel 1x Spirit Reaper Speed Spells (2) 2x Upstart Goblin Traps(26) 1x Dark Bribe 3x Dimensional Prison 3x Draining Shield 1x Gravity Bind 2x Magic Cylinder 1x Mirror Force 3x Negate Attack 3x Sakeretusu Armor 1x Scrap-Iron Scarecrow 3x Threatening Roar 3x Thunder of Ruler 1x Torrential Tribute. evilfusion
As a thought, you might have better luck if you weren't so vague. There's no theme or anything; just "5 decks" and "5 Turbo". That in itself feels vague. You want 5 decks total or 5 per entry? (Hopefully not the latter). And it's much easier to judge someone's deckbuilding ability if there's a criteria. Thing is, I cannot build an effective turbo deck at all. So that's what I was going for.
Alice Moonflowyr
do you want one for the WRGP?
Exodia-themed, use this for the WRGP. Its pretty much pissing your opponent off with traps and stall monsters until you get the 5 exodia pieces. Monsters(12) 5x Exodia Pieces. (Dark Beginning 1) 3x Emissary of the Afterlife (Dark Revelation 1 or 2) 1x Marshmallon (Lost Sanctuary, or the other light structure deck) 1x Sangan (I forget where to get him, but he is on the memory sheet for Thunder Unicorn) 1x Skelengel 1x Spirit Reaper Speed Spells (2) The only reason for these is to use Speed World 2's draw eff. 2x Upstart Goblin Traps(26) 1x Dark Bribe 3x Dimensional Prison 3x Draining Shield 1x Gravity Bind 2x Magic Cylinder 1x Mirror Force 3x Negate Attack 3x Sakeretusu Armor 1x Scrap-Iron Scarecrow 3x Threatening Roar 3x Thunder of Ruler 1x Torrential Tribute. I might also side a Grave of the Super-Ancient Organism.

There are so many better cards. 2)Magic Cylinder and Draining Shield. This isn't a burn or LP increase deck. They only negate 1 attack so if the opponent has more than 1 monster, I'm still screwed. Why not add more Gravity Bind or Spirit Reaper or something? 3)No drawing cards. Where's Speed Spell-Angel Baton? And where are the other traps likes Jar of Greed or Legacy of Yata that let me draw cards? I don't want something that'll take me 50 turns to win. 4) Only 2 Speed Spells. Which mean's I'll only get to use SW2's draw effect twice. Just a few pointers. I'll still add the deck as an entry, though.
Alice Moonflowyr
Ok, i will explain. Exodia FTK is impossible in the WRGP, due to the fact that speed spells take awhile to use. So, there are many reasons why this deck rocks. 1. Scrap Scarecrow: You run it at one, and negates one attack per turn. Works wonders in this deck. 2......I see no problem with either of those. Magic Cylinder might burn him, yeah, who cares? I won with MC once with this. Draining Shield, do you know how valuable extra LP is if you run out of traps? Really? 3. Look at my second sentance, and my 5th reason. 4. Speed Spells slow this deck up. A lot. 5. Sangan. Emissary. 6. the whammy. If you beat the first guy on the opposing team with an Exodia win, you automatically win the next two. Bam. Argument closed. P.S. At the least, it takes 40 turns. (40 card deck.) But it wont, since your liable to draw the following-Sangan, Emissary, 1 of the Exodia pieces once in a while, and a whole bunch of good stuff. jabber2033
My responses in BOLD:
1. Scrap Scarecrow: You run it at one, and negates one attack per turn. Works wonders in this deck. Gravity Bind does Scrap-Iron's job better. And I only have a 1-40 chance of actually drawing it, so I might not even see the card half the time. 2......I see no problem with either of those. Magic Cylinder might burn him, yeah, who cares? I won with MC once with this. Draining Shield, do you know how valuable extra LP is if you run out of traps? Really? Again, they only negate 1 attack. Negate Attack does the job better. So does Sakuretsu Armor. 3. Look at my second sentance, and my 5th reason. 4. Speed Spells slow this deck up. A lot. If you include 3 SS-Upstart and 3 SS-Angel Baton, that's 6 Speed Spells, which won't really slow things down. Only Angel Baton actually removes speed counters. And drawing only helps thin the deck and helps you win faster. 5. Sangan. Emissary. Only help you grab Exodia. And I might open with a hand of all traps or something. I need something that can help me get them faster. Like Jar of Greed or something. Again, drawing only helps you win faster.
And BTW, this is just for single duels and story mode. Alice Moonflowyr
Yeah, but if you use this in the WRGP, its a insta-win. Really, just try it.
