Synchronized
I'm confused; do you get to Special Summon it either way?
TheTurtleOnceCalledGod
It special summoned either way, but the 500 atk I think is due to the opponents, isn't that right?

evilfusion
I'm not too fond of the text, either. The only logic it has to doing it that way is that it targets before chain opportunity, and it's one effect resolving. The reason Grapha and presumably Sillva aren't written that way is because they affect the hand with their secondary effect, and the hand cannot be targeted. Lonk
That grammar's confusing (and Konami wanted to make Dark Worlds more understandable?).

evilfusion
That grammar's confusing (and Konami wanted to make Dark Worlds more understandable?).
Dark Worlds are only SLIGHTLY easier to understand, in exchange for sucky grammar. What all of them do is they activate when discarded by an effect. Then, they take note of whether the opponent discarded them, and target cards (Snoww from Grave, Goldd the field, Latinum the field etc). Then, when resolving it, one effect goes off regardless of who discarded (Reign-Beaux being the exception) and if it had targeted something, those targets are affected. If one part of the effect is negated (Solemn Warning to Goldd, for example) the second part is also stopped. It's only incredibly hard to understand if you dont know what the card does in the first place.
Big Bad Pennar
To be quite honest, I actually understand Dark World's effect wording fine, and I have only seen most Dark Worlds a few times (save KeeperWorld back at lolocals)

El Majishan
What the f*** is up with this grammar? It's so confusing.
ACTION FUCKIN HANK!!! Yeah, the grammar is stupid. I mean we all know what it means, but its just stupid. how hard is it just to say: if this card is discarded to the garve by a card effect, summon it from from the gave. if this card was discarded by your opp. card effect, target one fiend monster on the field: SS this card from the grave and the selected monster gains 500atk. and yeah....card is bad.
That indicates that SSing from the Grave for your discard doesn't start a chain. And if you change it to start a chain, that implies that two separate chains are created, which isn't the case. Ultimately, I decided that the honestly most logical method of depicting how a DW effect works using the new text is exactly how they do it.
