Kocrow17
This is a reboot of an old card I created called "Blazewing Icarus". That card was very set-dependent. This card is not.
Fire/Winged Beast/4/1900/500 This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard. This card is also treated as a Spellcaster-Type monster while in your hand or Deck. When this card is Special Summoned, inflicts 800 points of damage to your opponent and you draw 1 card.
Retelling a Tale (Part 1 of 4) And Icarus escaped his earthly prison. Through arcane means he regained that which was taken from him by King Minos: his wings and, with them, his freedom. He and his father took to the sky at equal heights, and yet only Icarus was to plummet that day. He fell into a watery deathbed, the sun's inspiring light fading lazily as he drifted deeper into the abyss that awaited him. Let me just say I actually had more fun writing that little snippet than designing the card itself. But now that the theatrics are out of the way, onto the card-talk! I always liked Sacred Crane, but felt it had too little ATK. I'm sure 1600 was the correct number at the time it was created by its designer (just over 1500 meant it couldn't be special summoned via Shining Angel or Last Will), but modern times call for cards with enough ATK to stand on their own two feet! I removed its Special-Summoning-from-the-Graveyard capability so I could add in a decent burn effect. This also helps get rid of potential infinite loops with other cards that like to bring back advantage gainers such as this from the grave. Then I remembered how much I like cards like Magician's Circle and Magical Dimension. So I thought, Why not? Both of those cards are underpowered anyway and could use a nice +1 draw thrown in to make them worth it.
ragnarok1945
makes it easy to summon though in terms of the 800 burn, it's pretty generic Don't really see the need for your opponent to draw a card
Kocrow17
Oh, no. Your opponent doesn’t draw a card, you do. Perhaps I worded that wrong. “…inflict 800 points of damage to your opponent and you draw 1 card.” Sound better? lol
ragnarok1945
ok NOW that makes more sense and it's only for a turn anyways so it's balanced I'll give this 9.4/
