Mehmani
It is a somewhat pertinent thought, but what about remorse/guilt? The removal of those in particular would probably make life a lot easier and would end up quite well for you (i.e. job promotions, business/political success, etc.). I'm only suggesting this for people without any murderous impulses, as we all know how that would end. Love also is an understandable choice - it only as an emotion appeals to the mushy among us and it is, like many other emotions, an evolutionary mechanism intended to encourage rutting. As we are now the only beings on Earth with true self-awareness, we tend to form transient relationships for the purpose of pleasure more frequently than that whole "wolves mate for life" thing. ~/Coolio Prime\~
Remorse/guilt is a good one; it would be easier to say some things that need to be said and not stay in the past over mistakes. So that or whatever you'd call being nervous, not exactly fear. Still mamihlapinatapai then, I guess. Oh, nevermind. [quote name='Admiral Tim' timestamp='1323196240' post='5690864'] ??? Destroyer of Time
For me, it would be a four-way tie between boredom, sadness, fear, and solitude. Trust me, I have had so much of each one that I am disgusted. However; if I could remove one, it would be boredom. For me, it is better to move forward in sadness than it is to stand still in boredom. Of course this is a personal opinion, but when I'm bored, it seems that the world stops and nothing really changes for me. This is not exactly true for everyone else, but it seems it is an eternity where you can't move forward and are trapped in a life of routine and schedules. If only I could live without boring schedules and start living life to the extreme. From hacking foreign government computers to rescuing strangers to making fast money to making medical breakthroughs. Just almost anything to rid me of my boredom, so I don't have the time to be sad or afraid.
Mehmani
Sadness is a vital opposite to happiness, boredom gives us a motive to do things (think how many things were invented when people got bored), fear is a survival mechanism that prevents us from doing things that may result in our demise and solitude isn't an emotion.
