Synchronized
This is insane. I'm not even sure this is balanced, tbh. You know how easy discarding is? It would rack up pluses like nobodies business.
Strider Tigerwolf
I am aware of how easy discarding is. Dealings is basically broken with this card as the -1 can easily be subsided with this guy's effect. But besides that, what would you suggest in balancing it? Ieyasu Tokugawa
It's fine as is. It's a Special Summon for the most part as even if you used this against DWs, you wouldn't be able to get their effects since they Activate in the Graveyard most of the time. Strider Tigerwolf
It's fine as is. It's a Special Summon for the most part as even if you used this against DWs, you wouldn't be able to get their effects since they Activate in the Graveyard most of the time.
I kinda figured this card would work like this: Activate Dealings: You draw and your opponent draw. You discard something useless, your opponent discards Gold or Silva or whatever. This card is Specialed, and resolves the second effect, adding that DW monster to your hand.
Strider Tigerwolf
Edited. NOW It should work against those Dark WorldsPharaz of the Gate added!
Oh My Anubis!
This is a pretty good card. 10/10. Also, thank you for saying dislike instead of hate.
ragnarok1945
Pharaz: well the discarding effect is relatively easy nowadays, so the effect seems a bit WAY too easy to pull off, not that there's anything wrong with the effect or anything like that Zephar: the effect monster part might be a bit too much. You should have made the effect monster a bit more specific. Yes it only goes to your hand and you may not be able to summon it right off the bat, but you never know. Strider Tigerwolf
Zaphar is made in such a way where it intercepts your opponent's cards. It's particularly horrid against Dark Worlds because it starts nabbing things they discard. For example: Opponent discards Grapha - Gets to Destroy a card. You Special Summon Zaphar - You add Grapha to your hand. See how Grapha still gets to activate his effect regardless? However, it is now in your control, so your opponent cant "recycle" into Grapha from the Grave as it is in your hand. The more devestating effect of this is when it sees plays against Gold, Silva and Vanguard. They won't get to be Special Summoned. Why? They go to your hand. Basically I took out the "Special Summon" aspect of Dark Worlds, but not all their fighting capabilities with Zaphar. Phazar is a little different. This one is more of a "Stun" card. Now days, people <3 hand advantage (with maybe the exception of Infernities) because the bigger your hand is, usually the better plays you are able to make. Phazar is now getting rid of hand advantage by making your opponent "send" 2 other cards to the Graveyard and as an added bonus, negates the effects of monsters that activate in the hand or Graveyard. This is a lethal combo especially against top tier decks such as "Quickdraw Doppel", "Dark World", "Dragunities" and to some extent stalls other decks, even "Infernities" (though most of the time it'll speed up this archtype). Dandylion becomes useless as you don't get the Tokens (effect negated), Grapha is useless (effect negated, both the destruction AND its Special Summon), Glow-up Bulb is stunned (can't Special), Effect Veiler is stunned (effect negated while in hand), etc, etc. Yes, discarding IS easy. There are plenty of cards that do that! In fact, most of the decks now days discard to some extent (especially since most run Brionac or some form of Special Summon or Draw engine) and this card effectively combats that. So far, Gladiator Beasts are nearly untouched by this archtype seeing as they hardly discard. I guess you could say I'm sticking a big fat middle finger to nearly the entire current meta. XP Most of my decks (since I run Quickdraw Chaos) already hate these cards. ---- Fougan of the Gate added!
Alice Moonflowyr
I'm only having a slight amount of difficulty with those stats........ But Effs and Pics are great, as is OCG. 10/10!
Strider Tigerwolf
Thanks Rupert! ^u^ And I did the ATK/DEF thing just to annoy people XD Guess its working! Also: Edited Fougan's effect. I forgot to completely state the second effect XP
ragnarok1945
all right, for Fourgan of the Gate the only thing you might want change is the last sentence and its effect what happens if your opponent has no more cards in his/her hand after that discarding? It'd be boring to say just nothing happens The rest of the effect looks fine, but that's still going to have to depend on the rest of your gate monsters

Strider Tigerwolf
I wanted just that 1 card to be extremely flexible so that cards like Dark Core/Feather of Phoenix/Fish and Swaps/Lightning Vortex/etc could still be run without so much consequence. It's 1 benefit to this card. I especially like Feather and Fish Swap since 2 of the cards here are Sea-Serpent Type cards making Bani-Gates a possible deck, and an interesting -1 set up with Feather allowing you to "turn a wheel" with your cards. Here's how: 4 cards in hand (Dark World Dealings, Feather of Phoenix, Gafuno, and Pharaz), and Fougan is in the Graveyard.

Activate Feather: Discard Gafuno, return Fougan to the Deck. At the same time, Gafuno allows you to discard Pharaz.
You draw Fougan, and Pharaz stuns your opponent's monsters.
Then dark world dealings, draw, discard something other than Fougan. Your opponent discards, most likely a monster even though he won't get an effect.
You discard Fougan since he discarded a monster/spell, search an "of the Gate" monster and then send 1 OTHER card from your opponent's hand to the Graveyard.
In a way, its almost like a lock.
ragnarok1945
now that is really good field nuking effect you got there it's not even hard to pull off, since you could pull a card effect and FORCE your opponent to discard the problem here lies with its recycling effect it just seems too easy to get it back into your hand, and to that end kind of makes it a bit broken.......
Strider Tigerwolf
Hmm...true that. Maybe just the field nuke effect will be good. I'll take out the Recycle and leave that for tmro's presentation

Strider Tigerwolf
Edited! And that was just the thing, this guy is better off NOT being the Recycle bait. ragnarok1945
ok that is some REALLY weak stats you got there for Phorafugazan of the Gate it's relatively recyclable, nice to see more graveyard negation this would work well against zombie decks so your opponent can't get them out of the graveyard and all that personally though if you're going to discard a gate monster to get this back onto the field, you should have said that the gate monster you're discarding can't be another Phorafugazan
