Strider Tigerwolf
True...there would be an infinite loop....and we don't want that.Edited!
ragnarok1945
well again, it still depends on your other gate monsters
Strider Tigerwolf
No, it's not that. That loop could be used to give Genex Ally Bellflame INFINITE attack...that's not good as it sets up a potential OTK, maybe even FTK.

[/quote] People already do that with Manticore of Darkness, though it is a bit harder and it happens in your End Phase instead. Pharaz is the only card here that's slightly too powerful; the others are fine. Profusion would be amazing if he didn't have an activation timing. Strider Tigerwolf
I made Pharaz the only one that's a little more powerful than the rest and I guess you could say it's the closest thing to being a "boss" monster. This deck doesn't have boss monsters except for that one. @Rag - That could be pulled off several times.

Strider Tigerwolf
Updating with 2 monsters! Helios and Heaviaz, the twin Guardians of the Gate!
ragnarok1945
well both Helios and Heaviaz have situational effects however they both use DARK and LIGHT attributes, which are popular though for Heaviaz's effect it might be slightly too much because you said a LIGHT monster, and that technically includes Heaviaz itself, so that might make it a bit too recyclable
Strider Tigerwolf
Hmmm...that is true. I'll add "except this [name of card]". Edits will be done in a few.

Strider Tigerwolf
A generic spell card has been created! Battle Rift Phenomena!
ragnarok1945
Battle Rift isn't really anything big your opponent only loses 1 card, it's not even that big a loss yes you can say it depends on the card and all that, but still besides, with the draw power these days, my gut feeling is that it'll get compensated anyway VERY quickly
Strider Tigerwolf
And that's why I built this card. My monster depend on my opponent discarding, so I make them discard. Then I go into plays with my "of the gate" monsters, especially Pharaz, and reduce their hand advantage.
ragnarok1945
yeah but the discarding number wasn't exactly as high as I thought it would be
Strider Tigerwolf
Flash Rebound! is up
guuu1234
Like the idea behind your archetype, but the spells only plus a dark world deck right? sense they cause you're opponent to "discard", and not "send." In fact, they actually help fuel the more deveasting effects of cards like silvia and gold. As for the monsters, I love how creatibe they are. I've seen the pics before but the effects are unique and they do seem to counter a Dark World deck nicely. Although I think a single Thunder king or doomcaliber knight will destroy your deck in a second (nothing has 1900 or more ATK). Their low attack seems to make them to vulnerable against an actual Dark World deck. Graet Set though. P.S: I hate dark worlds too
Strider Tigerwolf
The last 2 Spell cards work in combo with the monsters And the monsters negate or intercept the effects of the dark worlds. XP Think about it this way. Flash Rebound - discard a monster. Discard 2 monster Dark World Monster from your opponent's hand. Activate Pharaz of the Gate from your hand -> Send 2 cards from your opponent's hand to the Graveyard AND stun the effects of the cards discarded. Now those Dark World monsters don't get their effects at all and leave your opponent's hand with few options to counter attack and in a sense kills the entire Dark World deck withing a couple of turns. The Spells work to fuel the effects of these monsters easier.
ragnarok1945
yeah flash rebound is really good the only real restriction isn't really a let down at all, since you discard a spell your opponent has to do the same for ANY spell same goes with traps and monsters, don't really see what's wrong with that shame it's not a continuous spell though, that would have made it really good
Strider Tigerwolf
Thanks raggy ^^ The reason I didn't make it a continuous is because by making it a quick-play I can catch my opponent by surprise
ragnarok1945
yeah I know it's a shame there's no such thing as a quick-play continuous spell though
