qdrack
I've always liked the "Des" animals for some reason, So I made a field spell for them because, in my mind, all decent archetypes should have their own stomping grounds. Sorry about the lack of eyecandy, I'm probably becoming infamous for leaving out the pictures, but my computer just can't seem to get around this recent glitch. Besides I already had the card made. I made it a bit strong because of the animals relative small size and popularity. Partangle the Candle Jangler
Title needs to be capitalized firstly. The OCG isn't right but I'm unsure how to fix it; this is what I would say: "As long as this card is in play, all face-up "Des" monsters gain 800 ATK and 400 DEF for every set card on your opponent's side of the field" It's really overpowered if you think about it. I mean at most stages of the game your opponent is gonna have at least 2 cards set so 1600 attack gain right there. it's just too much........... ragnarok1945
that could get broken because face downs are much easier to encounter than face ups for that reason, 800 atk PER face down is just WAY too high I'd have lowered it to only 300 per face down so it doesn't boost the atk through the roof although def wise, I think 400 def gain per face down should be ok
newhat
I love the name. 800 ATK is quite a lot, but your opponent has a way to circumvent it: not Setting anything. This is a common thing nowadays. And if your opponent already Set, this could lead to some amusing surprise OTKs, which is fine. Des Wombat starts out at 1600, so this would put it on par with Monarchs. I can see this being used with Xing Zhen Hu to sustain the bonus. qdrack
Ok, oops. I tried to say that they gained 800 ATK initially, and THEN 400 DEF per face-down. So, your opponent either reveals their cards to kill your furry pals, or you keep bombing them with flip effects, still, maybe the attack bump should be weakened slightly; But I wasn't trying to turn them into beat-sticks, merely give them an offensive option. When you think about it, the archetype never gets above average attack at all unless you count master of Oz. (which is a gigantic power-house) So defense is influenced by face-downs, not attack. (can anyone tell me how to word that?)
I think it would be worded something like this:
When this card is activated: Face-up "Des" monsters gain 800 ATK for as long as this card remains face-up on the field. Face-up "Des" monsters gain 400 DEF for each Set card your opponent controls.
Ah, I see it now. Either your opponent Sets and makes your monsters big walls, or your opponent takes massive damage from Des Koala. Neat.
qdrack
Thanks, that was the basic idea. I'll edit it in a minute.
