BlueBladeDuality
I think Mirror Force could help, too. Unless your goal is not to destroy, but to stall (which is probably the case). Swords of Revealing Light could also help. And i just remembered swords is already on the list. My bad.
IceDorago
No no no no Final countdown should be something like this: 3 Fader, 3 Scarecrow, 3 Valley, 3 Countdown, 3 Roar, 3 Waboku, 3 Thunder of Ruler, 3 One Day at Peace, 3 Upstart, 3 Duality. Rest is up to you unless I'm forgetting something.
Alice Moonflowyr
I always thought Final Countdown was best with Herald of Perfection.

IceDorago
I'm talking about the ones I mentioned. It's the most common kind I've seen, and it works pretty well.

Razzion
I used to have a Final Countdown deck. It worked alright, I guess. It was mostly stall effects with multi-flip monsters; like Death Lacooda, Swarm of Scarabs & Locusts, and Guardian Sphinx. I recommend reconstucting it to focus of those. evilfusion
Okay, your current build is the unfortunately common, but ineffective way to run Countdown. The way your Deck is built, you're intending to put up barriers each turn to stall and slow down your opponent. The problem is that it's ineffective. Most of the cards intending to stall are merely temporary shields that can be worked around, and it relies on your opponent not having a counter for long periods of time. It's not the worst strategy in the world, but it's strictly inferior to the more common strategy of using a card each turn to essentially skip the opponent's turn. Countdown Decks should run 3 Waboku and 3 Threatening Roar (I see already you're doing this). Battle Fader and Swift Scarecrow are also good "Battle skippers", and One Day of Peace will nullify all damage to both players for 2 turns (yours and opponent's) in exchange for both players drawing 1 card. The main strategy behind such cards is to use the fewest resources possible a turn to keep your LP almost completely safe until your opponent's next turn. Stall cards like Swords and Steel Cage are good on paper, but with Heavy Storm and 3 MST around, they're unreliable. Monsters that cannot be destroyed in battle are a worthy addition, but you should think more along the lines of Spirit Reaper and maybe Marshmallon, rather than Gogogo Golem or Obnoxious Celtic Guard. Upstart Goblin and Pot of Duality (if you have them) can speed the deck up a bit, since giving your opponent LP and not being able to Special Summon won't hurt a Countdown Deck, but taking too long to get Countdown will.
