Pixelated art?

As (Hopefully) everyone knows, video game images used to be made of 2d Pixel Art called Sprites. Not everyone may agree with this, but pixelated images are a form of art.

What I was wondering, was whether or not sprite art would be acceptable when making cards, as long as the entire set was made of sprites, and the images were consistent. Like, for example, Final Fantasy Tactics. The game has highly posable sprites, so pretty good cards could be made, in my opinion.

That's not what I mean at all. I just mean that you would easily be able to create the image you want for spell and trap cards, and have unique looking monsters without all that much of a hassle. When I break it down though, all I want to actually know is whether or not people would find the use of sprites acceptable.

GAK: In what way? I don't really get what you mean.

Omegawave: The images wouldn't be stretched that much. Depending on the image, only 2x the natural image, at the most. Hopefully that won't leave too much room. Backgrounds would be a high priority.
