CCX-Kero
Its been a loooooooong while since I've made a new set so I've decided to get back on the Legendary Cardmaker Wagon..lol. This new Set focus on a cards that are face down on the field. Basically, the more you have the better. The monsters themselves benefit greatly from having face down cards on the field...there is also a sneak peak at the sister archtype of this set. They are called the "Fossilytes" and function similar to the gaiyans...(just like DARK WORK and FABLED!!) I could really use some help on the Ocg of the cards as i am not yet used to the new grammer ALL IMAGES USED COME FROM THE SHOWCASE THREAD, MORE SPECIFICALLY DOOMED ARCHIVES. THIS SET IS UNFINISHED.
You can Special Summon this card from your Hand while you have at least 1 face-down card in you Spell/Trap Zone. When this card is targeted for an attack by an opponent's monster: You can banish this card; place 1 card from the top of you Deck face-down in the Spell/Trap Zone, then end the Battle Phase. You cannot activated this effect if this card was Special Summoned. When this card is summoned, place 1 card from the top of your Deck face-down in your Spell/Trap Zone. A Spell or Trap card placed by this card's effect cannot be activated. When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower "Gaiyan" monster from your Deck. When this card is Normal Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 "Gaiyan" monster from your Deck whose level is equal to or less than the amount of face-down cards in your Spell/Trap Zones. If this card is used to Synchro Summon a "Gaiyan" monster, you can select up to 2 face-down cards on the field and return them to their respective owners' Hand. This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned while you have 3 or more face-down cards on the field. When this card is removed from the field, you can add 1 "Gaiyan" monster from your Deck to your Hand whose level is equal to or less than the amount of face-down cards on your side of the field. You can return 2 face-down cards you control to the Deck to Special Summon this card. This card gains 200 ATK and DEF for each empty Monster Zone(s) on your field. At the start of the Battle Phase, you can send 1 face-down card you control to the Graveyard to negate the effect of all other cards on the field until the End of the Battle Phase.

If there are 3 or more face-down cards in your Spell/Trap Zone when this card is activated, you can move this card to the Field Card Zone and have it treated as a Field Spell card. Once per turn you can pay 600 LP to Special Summon one level 4 or lower monster from your Graveyard in face-down Defence Position. While this card is treated as a Field Spell, it gains the following effects: *Face-down cards cannot be returned to the Deck. *Face-down cards you control cannot be destroyed by card effects. This card can only be activated while you control no monster's and have at least 2 face-down cards in the Spell/Trap Zone. Special Summon 1 "Gaiyan Lycanoor" from your Deck and Set this card face-down instead of sending it to the Graveyard. "Gaiyan Lycanoor" cannot declare an attack during the turn this card is activated. You can reveal this card in your Hand to draw 1 card and place this card face-down in your Spell/Trap Zone. You cannot Special Summon a monster(s) during the turn you activate this card. If this card is destroyed while it is face-down in the Spell/Trap Zone, your opponent cannot Set or activate any Set cards until the End Phase of their next turn. At the start of your Main Phase 1, You can reveal this card in your Hand to reveal all face-down cards in you Spell/Trap Zone (Effects are not activated and the cards return to their original position at the end of Main Phase 1). If there is a "Fossilyte Kitten" among the cards , you can Special Summon this card from your Hand. This card gains 300 ATK for each face-down card in your Spell/Trap Zones. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can pay 300 LP to place it face-down in you Spell/Trap Zone.
jacky0731
Oooooh loving that face-down theme u got there Anyway heres my feedback: Ryna: Very nice effect, nothing wrong here. Nyani: I suggest the end effect becomes 'you can add a level 4 or lower "Gaiyan" monster from your Deck to your hand' instead since Motha, Barbar as well as Ryna have a summoning condition for their effect. Motha: I guess this is the main card that can turn the tide of battle since it can give u a hand advantage as well as returning ur opponent's face-downs. Very interesting and nice idea! Barbar: Perfect 4 Star Beatstick that goes well with this face-down theme! Lycan: Maybe change the ATK gain to 100 per empty monster zone to make it less OP for a 5 Star. Also is the latter effect usable in battle phases only or main phase? Is it usable during ur opponents turn too? I think the latter effect should only be limited to YOUR battle phase to make it balanced for a 5 Star monster. Power Symbol: Very nicely thoughtout card! Only one thing needs addressed i think: The once per turn effect should put the summoned Monsters face-down in the Spell/Trap Zone instead of monster zone or its gonna be an OP summoning card Lycanoor's Spirit: Since this card has an activation requirement already i think u can remove the latter penalties and just summon Lycan directly through a normal special summon without putting it face-down in defense position. (since Lycan isnt THAT strong anyway hehe) Kitten: Lovely effect. Kat: I think those flipped cards should not stay flipped until the end phase cos otherwise Kat will not gain any ATK boost when its special summoned that turn haha. Just have the flipped cards instantly return to face-down positions after they're revealed. (after ur opponent finishes looking at them ofc)
ragnarok1945
for Barbarimoor, you should lower the atk a bit, since it's lv4 and right now it has more atk than even Lycanoor Lycanoor's skill drain ability is pretty good, nice to see it works for spells/traps too Kitten's effect reminds me slight of Cold Wave, is there where you pulled it from? Overall the set is nicely done, artwork is great too

Ive hadd time to sit down and think abt their effects so you can expect revised cards soon. Thanx again..
