A few days ago i made a Set called the "Gaiyans" and a preview of a complimentary Set i was working on called the "Fossilytes". I have completely re-imagined and remade the Set.
The Fossilytes are EARTH Rock-type monsters who are similar to the crystal beasts in that they can occupy the spell/trap zone and their effects take off from there. The set is incomplete and i would love to hear your opinions on what could make the set better.

*ALL IMAGES USED ARE FROM THE SHOWCASE SECTION OF THE SITE. THE VARIOUS AUTHORS ARE QUOTED IN THE EDITION SECTIONS OF THE CARDS. I DID NOT MAKE OR OWN ANY OF THESE IMAGES.

For one time only, you can reveal up to 2 face-down cards in your Spell/Trap Zone(s) and then return them to their original positions. Increase the level of this card by 1 for each monster card revealed by this effect. If this card is used to Synchro Summon a "Fossilyte" monster, set this card in your Spell/Trap Zone instead of sending it to the Graveyard. This card gains 200 ATK times its level.[/spoiler]

FLIP: Your opponent Draws 1 card; During the End Phase reveal 1 face-down card in your Spell/Trap Zone. That card then returns to its original position. If this face-up Defense Position card is targeted for an attack, decrease its DEF by 800 until the End Phase. Once per turn you can reveal this card while it is face-down in the Spell/Trap Zone to change 1 "Fossilyte" monster to Defense Position and increase its DEF by 800 until the End Phase.

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by revealing 1 "Fossilyte" card in your Spell/Trap Zone. That card then returns to its original position. If this card is used to Synchro Summon a "Fossilyte" monster, set this card in your Spell/Trap Zone instead of sending it to the Graveyard.

If this face-down card is destroyed while in your Spell/Trap Zone(s) you can select 1 "Fossilyte Rubbily" from you Deck or Hand and Set it face-down in the Spell/Trap Zone.

These cards are fossilytes in their own rights however they were designed specifically for xyz purposes however i dont know how to get a xyz template yet... :(

This card is also treated as a Rock-type while in the Graveyard. For one time only, you can reveal 1 face down card in your Spell/Trap Zone. That card then returns to its original position. If you do, you can decrease the level of this card by 1 and Special Summon 1 "Fossilyte Extractor" monster from your Hand or Deck. When this card leaves the field, you can select 1 "Fossilyte Extractor" in your Graveyard and Set it face-down in the Spell/Trap Zone.

That card then returns to its original position. If the revealed card is a "Fossilyte" monster, you can Special Summon 1 "Fossilyte" monster from your Hand or Deck whose level is equal to or less than the level of the revealed monster.

This card is also treated as a Rock-type while in the Graveyard. When this card declares an attack, you can reveal 1 "Fossilyte" monster in your Spell/Trap Zone. That monster then returns to its original position. If you do, this card gains ATK equal to the ATK of the revealed monster. If this card is Banished, you can Set it face-down in the Spell/Trap Zone during the End Phase.

When this card is Synchro Summoned, reveal all face-down cards in your Spell/Trap Zone. If a level 4 or lower "Fossilyte" monster(s) is revealed by this effect, you can equip 1 to this card as an Equip Card. Return all other cards to their original positions. Increase the ATK of this card by the original ATK of a monster equipped to this card. If this card would be destroyed you can destroy the equipped monster instead. During the End Phase; if there is no monster equipped to this card you can Set this card face-down in the Spell/Trap Zone, if not Banish this card.[/spoiler]

During the End Phase, select 1 "Fossilyte" monster in your Graveyard and Set it face-down in your Spell/Trap Zone. If this face-down card is revealed by the effect of a "Fossilyte" card, inflict 400 LP damage to your opponent.

Pay 300 LP. Select 1 "Fossilyte" monster in your Spell/Trap Zone; Special Summon it and Equip it with this card. When this card is destroyed, destroy the equipped monster. If this face-down card is reveal by the effect of a "Fossilyte" card, you can add 1 "Fossilyte" monster from your Deck to your Hand.

Once per turn when a face-down "Fossilyte" monster(s) you control is revealed by a card effect, you can Special Summon one of those monsters. If a "Fossilyte" monsters you control is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard; you can pay 500 LP and Set that monster face-down in your Spell/Trap Zone. Face-down cards you control cannot be destroyed by card effects.

Tribute 1 "Fossilyte" monster on the field. I f there is a monster(s) in your Graveyard that is not Rock-Type, destroy this card. Increase the ATK and DEF of all "Fossilyte" monster(s) on the field by 200 times the level of the tributed monster. Once per turn, if this card would be destroyed by a card effect except its own, you can reveal 1 face-down card you control instead. If this face-down card is revealed by the effect of a "Fossilyte" card, you can add 1 "Fossilyte" Spell card from your Deck to your Hand except "Fossilyte Fuel".

Pay 500 Life Points during each of your Standby Phases. If you do not, this card is destroyed. You can reveal 1 face-down "Fossilyte" monster and have it treated as a trap card. That card gains an effect based on its level. A card revealed by this effect is then returned to the Deck after its effect resolves.
*Level 1-2: When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Negate the attack.
*Level 3-4: Destroy 1 Spell or Trap card on the field.
*Level 5-6: Negate the effect of a card that would destroy 2 or more cards on the field including at least 1 "Fossilyte" card and destroy that card.
*Level 7+: When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Destroy all Attack Position monsters your opponent controls.

for Garne-Jan, the atk gain is probably going to be too low to matter too much, the main gain comes from level boosting

Diamonill should be ok, though 800 def drop seems a bit high, can only pull this off 3 times, and after once its def will already be too weak to withstand a lot

for Trap Wall, the 3rd effect is a little too like the 2nd one. Yes it applies to monsters as well, but it still doesn't seem worth the level

still, you did really well for this set, will you add more later?

For garne-jan: i know the ATK boost doesn't really matter but i just felt like adding it :). but the level gain is whats the cards effect is all about.
For Diamonill: (-__-") forgot the "until the end phase clause. i didnt mean for the drop to be permanent, i wanted it to have 1900 DEF when attacked.
For Trap Wall: i dont get how the 2 effects are the same.
But thanks for the comments..i appreciate it. you can definitely look for more cards soon. I have alot more ideas but im still looking for pics that fit the cards.

For that effect, it's fine, though I'd still change 1 thing, which is that the Fossilyte spell card you're adding to your hand cannot be ANOTHER Fossilyte Fuel card

right now 2200 atk is just fine for lv5

but with this effect you can easily get it to the 4000 mark

i just wanted it to be a small beatstick..besides it can only equip a level 4 or lower so i dnt think its attack will be going to 4000 anytime.
