This isn't designed to be fast.
It's supposed to maintain field control by killing off your opponent's monster and protecting yours.

It doesn't help if it runs at the speed of continental drift. With my deck build I can blow up most of the field in one or two turns, protect myself from spare trap cards, and get my Visionary or Commandant on the field to destroy any stragglers or attack directly.

LOL
telling me that a non-effect beatstick that's vulnerable to EVERYTHING is one of your best rank 4 monsters.
Pearl doesn't even do anything. It may have 2600, but all it does is attack. It's bad.
And dude... priority. Summons before attacking? Preventing your opponent's monsters from even getting on the field is better.
And how is Gale bad? It halves the attack of ANY monster permanently, while you can apply the effect again and again on each turn. Explain how that's bad.

Yes, I have used it. But I don't like it. In this deck, I'd rather use Brionac over Pearl for obvious reasons, and with Gale in the deck, you'd be able to pull out Brio and get an extra discard monster (assuming the non-tuner monster you used was Recruiter). Besides, the deck I use for Keepers doesn't require Syncs or Xyzs as much as possible, so I keep only 1 tuner... Gale. Yes, Gale is slow, but its effect is worth it.
Anyway, if you rather keep Pearl in the deck, then take out Kochi or something.
I'm still surprised that this guy called Pearl one of his best. :/

Actually no, not Kochi. Take out one of the xyzs the require 3 monsters. I don't see how you can get 3 Lvl 4 monsters out that fast with this deck.

Pearl is one of the best rank 4's revealed so far.
KAchi is low attack and not as useful for beating over stardusts
And you can't compare brio with pearl, they both require different materials to make them.
Gale is a waste of a normal summon, then they'll just summon rai-oh and beat over it next turn.

Rai-Oh would be better here, I guess.
And I'm not comparing them by materials, I'm comparing their effects. Oh wait, Pearl doesn't have one.
My point: I'd rather use an xyz or sync monster that has an effect that removes a card on the field (so you can attack without hassle) instead of a beatstick, just vulnerable to being under control of your opponent and being used against you. That's MY theory. I'll stick to it, you stick to yours. I'm not saying you're wrong, anyway.

Lavalval Chain, Utopia, Daigusto Emeral and Pearl are like the best rank 4s.

also most of the synchros are bad to summon here, I would rather summon descendant and tribute that recruiter to destroy their card most of the time.

Kinda stating the obviously obvious here... but... Stardust.

Oh, and Black Rose
