Possible TGU reprint speculation

Recommended Posts

So this guy on a yugioh FB group thought about the new reprints in ORCS and premium tins, and explains his theory.

This is what he said:
Okay, quick theory. for people who say that "Tour Guide of the Underworld" will not be in ORCS SE / Premium Tin. Take a look at the past of high wanted and Tournament Level cards being reprinted.

Duelist Revolution Release Date:
August 17th, 2010.

Pot of Duality Reprint Date:
August 30th, 2011.

Solemn Warning Reprint Date:
November 1st, 2011.

We knew about the Duality reprint around May 2011, and the Warning reprint around June/July.

Now ..

Extreme Victory release date:
May 10th, 2011.

Order of Chaos SE Release date:
I'd say late Feburary - Early March, 2012.

Also ..

Premium Collectors Tin Date:
March 20th, 2012.

So I can pretty much guarantee Tour Guide will be in the SE OR Premium tin. Also, not to mention .. The AD for ORCS Special Edition reads as follows -

“In addition to 3 packs of Order of Chaos, each Special Edition box will contain a special championship‐level foil card sure to make a lucky Duelist’s day.”

Keep in mind this does NOT say "will contain one of TWO special championship-level foil cards." It says "a special championship-level foil card." So, reading this, we will get ONE promo in the Special Edition, NOT 2.

Discuss?

tl;dr: this means a possible reprint for Maxx C, TGU, or some other Staple. But we`ll most likely get a TGU reprint this year.

Also, TGU is comfirmed for release in OCG september 2012.

For those of you who don`t know.

Genius strategy by Konami. Make a hard to get card that's amazing. Okay so they make a little bit of money from more people buying this specific pack but really that just lowers the sales of other packs. Not actually helpful. Here is the real profit. They make the card as part of a tin. Now everyone buys this tin. Everyone needs 3. They now make tons of money.

This would be awesome. But I won't get my hopes up because it's more likely we'll get a Maxx "C" reprint before we get a Tour Guide reprint.

I actually think a Maxx "C" reprint is much better than a TGU reprint. Since I don't use TGU I would much rather have a Maxx "C" reprint.

Both would be awesome. So would a Leviair reprint. But I'm just saying that because I'm cheap and I don't want to spend that kind of money. That said, there are a select few cards that, if printed, could allow the "casual" player to move up the rankings quite a bit in terms of Deck quality.

Yeah, while thats true, almost every deck runs maxx C, and almost every deck runs TGU. They can both be considered staples.

Iron Chains become cheapest good deck.

Iron Chain deck = $20

I made an Iron Chain deck but it was too slow for me. Also i didn't think they were that good since most decks like cards in their Graveyard.
