That's true, but how many cards since Artemis was released have similar effects? I'm sure Konami learned its lesson - having consistent game mechanics is much more important than making a few obscure cards that screw the rules. Artemis is a relatively obscure card used only in Counter Fairies, whose time has long gone by.

Just like Gem-Knight Citrine and Ancient Gear monsters.

I'm sorry if I'm being ignorant, but how exactly do those examples defy game mechanics? Ancient Gears have trigger effects that activate when they attack and Citrine has a continuous effect that does something similar but those are both triggered by actions which have no inherent spell speed (as opposed to activating a card/effect). Bountiful Artemis is different because its effect allows you to draw 1 card during the chain's resolution as opposed to being triggered first, then activating only after the current chain resolves like all other cards I can think of. The effect itself should've been Trigger instead of Continuous. At least that way, all the horrible rulings that had to come along with it could've been avoided.

Example of card defying game mechanics:
Any continuous effect (i.e. non-trigger)

EDIT: by AsianGuy's logic Tengu "screws the rules" even though it activates after the chain finished. And if it does, "screw the rules I have money" becomes the official theme of yugioh.

/end screw the rules discussion

anyway back on topic... would it miss timing on Future Fusion and other cards of that nature, and if it does, I will change it.

By my logic, Tengu DOESN'T screw the rules because it RESOLVES after the immediate chain proceeds to resolve. e.g.
I use it to summon Trishula. Trishula banishes. THEN, Tengu resolves letting me summon another copy... Unlike Bountiful Artemis which lets you draw right after you resolve Solemn Judgment per se even if the card Solemn Judgment was chained to hasn't had its chain link resolved yet. Jesus, at least think before you post something next time.

Ok... then why are we even talking about this? An if... you can wording would resolve after the chain resolves, thus making this entire argument entirely and completely pointless. Also, you are the person that started this retarded argument in the first place, and you are telling ME to think? You need to chill and remember your original point and realize how random you are being right now. Note that I never followed and never said I would follow this suggestion:

Just do what Bountiful Artemis does add: "(during the chain)", in the card text after everything.
so you are just bashing everything for no point whatsoever.

I originally did suggest to change to an If... text to allow for the choice of resolving the effect after the action takes place. The point I brought up with Bountiful Artemis is that if it had an effect like Artemis, the effect would be activating in the middle of the chain as opposed to resolving after an action/chain like Tengu... Why did I bring up this "retarded" argument? To show how messed up Artemis's effect is and how it screws with what was originally a relatively simple mechanic such as proper chain resolution. Seriously, is it really THAT hard to understand me using Bountiful Artemis as an example of what not to do when designing a card? It hardly qualifies as retarded while your comment about how "my logic makes Tengu break game mechanics" obviously shows that you misunderstood my original argument meaning your previous post was the "retarded" argument. Please, show some reading comprehension next time instead of just calling things "retarded" because you misinterpreted them. Also, I NEVER suggested that YOU suggested changing it to a Bountiful Artemis-like effect, I was just merely pointing out how absurd it is and responding to your comment on my argument.
