Buried deep in the scrolls of lore there exists the ultimate spell, the ultimate ritual of Chaos, requiring the sacrifice of 5 souls and corrupting a soul of Light into the purest Darkness...

Behold, The Dark Nexus!

Secret/Ghost Spell Card - Normal
Banish one DARK monster in your Deck and inflict damage to your own Life Points equal to its ATK. Then select 5 LIGHT monsters in your Deck. Your opponent selects 1 of those monsters and adds it to your hand. The rest are Banished. You cannot Special Summon in the turn you activate this card. While this card is in your Graveyard: Face-up Monsters of the same name as the LIGHT monster added to your hand are treated as DARK monsters.

This card screams Leviar abuse lol. I don't see much wrong with it tbh and i can't immediately think of any LIGHT monsters that will get an abusable benefit from getting banished (except deck thinning, maybe). however is the last part of the effect truly necessary though? I don't think treating a LIGHT monster on the field that is the same as the monster added to your hand as DARK is all that helpful. Plus, that's extremly situational.

I agree with guuu on the last effect it doesnt seem to be helpful unless you make cards that deal with LIGHT/DARK monsters. Maybe you should put "Face-Up Monsters whose level is equal to or higher than the LIGHT monster that was added to your hand are treated as DARK monsters". or something like that....other than that i find nothing else wrong with the card. Keep up the good work.

To be perfectly honest, it is not necessary or even significant at all. To tell you the truth, I mainly put that there in order for it to make "lore sense." Also I am thinking I am going to build a mini-archetype around it where that will come in handy. And it would treat that card as a DARK monster itself. Example: I activate this drop Birdman take damage and give the opponent Venus, Venus, Earth, Earth and Earth. Opponent picks Venus because he does not want me to get a search of the 3rd Venus. I summon Venus, it is treated as a DARK monster (for whatever that is worth). Of course, if for some reason I brought back the other Venus's they would also be DARKs. Housing a spirit of darkness corrupts your whole bloodline :)

Also, I am thinking of making it 5 DIFFERENT LIGHT monsters. Otherwise, the opponent basically has 2 choices if the player chooses 2 of one card and 3 of another. And yes. Leviar abuse is abusive.
