evilfusion Posted February 9, 2012 Report Share Posted February 9, 2012 There's a good argument either way. But ultimately, I say it should stay banned. It's pretty much a 1600 Level 4 that turns any card in your hand into a Lightning Vortex, if your opponent plays a mono-Type or close to one. While Synchros and Xyz do offer some Type diversity to swarms, the ability to set up your Graveyard, gain a potential +4, and then swing for damage is still a bit too overpowered. It will destroy your monsters, too, but that's hardly a huge issue. Type-Killers in general tend to be really unbalanced. On the other side of the argument, we do have Dark Hole legal, and mass removal for monsters is seen as far less crippling to a Deck than mass removal for Spells. Tribe has a cost of a discard, has only 1600 ATK, and can easily Trigger Starlight Road, Stardust, and other anti-destruction effects, to say nothing of the fact it could kill your own monsters. Still, I think it should stay banned because it's still far too splashable. And being an Aqua, amusingly, gives it access to a lot of the Banishark support.
