New and improved UNDERWORLD monsters!

Hey guys! I am back and better than ever taking my old Underworld mosnters and improving them with the new card grammar, and even adding a few new effects as well as adding new cards. Note that this deck does not use the extra deck but could easily spam xyz monsters (although now the monsters can't gain their effects because they are xyz materials)

This deck is all about field control and putting monsters that are in your grave back onto the field, as well as gaining different effects by being either destroyed by your opponents/banished, then by using the new card i created for this archetype "Gates of the Underworld", all banished Underworlds (if they were) come back into the grave and can now be used by your other monster's effects. Well i'm done talking! Take a look for yourself! Rate as you please, and let me know of any OCG errors, and if any cards are OPed or UPed, if i should make this a synchro deck, etc, etc, etc.

*note that when the effect says "or banished" that means banished by any effect from anywhere by any player*

[spoiler=Lower Leveled Monsters]

1. 172968.jpg

effect: FLIP: For every "Underworld" monster in your Graveyard or removed from play, your opponent loses 300 Life Points. This monster cannot be destroyed by battle. If this monster is sent to the Graveyard by your opponent (by battle or by card effect) or banished, your opponent loses 500 Life Points and sends the top card of their deck to the Graveyard.

my comment: this can be deadly in the longterm game, a huge burn for a whole lot of damage if possible, otherwise just a small few points of damage. the mill helps too but its just 1 card. an average dude

2.172968.jpg

effect: FLIP: You can Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower "Underworld" monster in face-up Attack Position. If this monster is sent to the graveyard by your opponent (by battle or by card effect) or banished, Special Summon one "Minos- First Judge of the Underworld" in face-down defense position from your graveyard.

my comment: card art is pretty cool but i wanted to keep it the same as the other 2 judges (with the plain black background). this guy can also get my man minos back for more burn damage if you kill him, so there's one strategy for you. he also spec. summons another monster so you can feel the swarm coming on

3.172968p.jpg

effect: While this monster is face-up on your side of the field, all "Underworld" monsters are unaffected by your opponent's Spell and Trap cards. If this monster is sent to the Graveyard by your opponent (by battle or by card effect) or banished, Special Summon 1 "Rhadamanthus- Second Judge of the Underworld" from your deck or Graveyard in face-down defense position.

my comment: easy to kill with a nice effect but with that secondary effect you may not want to kill him right off, but you can't use spells or traps... WHAT A PREDICAMENT! more swarming to come from the other judges, or being locked down... YOU decide

4. 172968.jpg

effect:This monster can attack twice during the Battle Phase. If this monster is sent to the Graveyard by your opponent (by battle or by card effect) or banished, draw one card and Special Summon 1 level 3 or lower "Underworld" monster from your graveyard.

my comment: draw power and i can put out another judge?!?! man this deck is swarm-tastic!... maybe if you banish all my monsters i won't be able to swarm from the grave...

5. 172968o.jpg

effect: When this monster is Normal Summoned you can either:

*Send 1 monster on your opponent's side of the field to the Graveyard.

*Special Summon 1 "Underworld" monster from your Graveyard.

If this monster is sent to the Graveyard by your opponent (by battle or by card effect) or banished, your opponent sends the top 2 cards of their deck to the Graveyard and you can Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower "Underworld" monster from your Graveyard, deck, or hand.

my comment: a pretty long effect, the option of either killing or swarming can be useful depending on the situation. then more milling and more swarming! jesus man!

and those were the lv 4 and lower monsters

here come the two level 6 monsters, and the god of the deck. hahaha

[spoiler = powerful Underworld]

1. 172968t.jpg

effect: While this monster is face-up on the field, for every "Underworld" monster sent from the field to the Graveyard or banished, this monster gains 200 ATK and DEF. If this monster is sent to the Graveyard by your opponent (by battle or by card effect) or banished, you may Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower "Underworld" monster from your deck or Graveyard.

my comment: a powerful monster that gets even more powerful if you don't kill him! AND you get a swarm from the grave OR deck! how are you going to stop this!?

2. 172968.jpg

effect: While this monster is face-up on your side of the field, all "Underworld" monsters cannot be destroyed by battle. If the controller of this card also controls "Hades- Lord of the Underworld", you can sacrifice this monster to Special Summon up to 3 Level 6 or lower monsters from your Graveyard. If this monster is sent to the graveyard by your opponent (by battle or by card effect) or removed from play, Special Summon this monster in face-down Defense Position during your opponent's next Standby Phase.

my comment: a 2600 atk level 6 monster may be OPed, but she comes back in defense position so you can kill her easily when she does come back, but you may want to kill the other mosnters first, idk. plus you can't kill my monsters by battle when she's face up! have fun trying to kill this poor girl

3. the god of this deck:

172968.jpg

effect: This monster cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This monster can be Special Summoned from your hand or Graveyard by banishing 3 "Underworld" monsters from your hand, field, or Graveyard. This monster gains ATK and DEF equal to the total level of the monsters banished by this effect X200. This monster is unaffected by your opponent's Spell and Trap cards. You can send from the field to the Graveyard one "Underworld" monster you control to destroy one monster and one spell or trap card your opponent controls.

my comment: easy to get out when you have him, i may need to remove the "or Graveyard" part in its summoning conditions. a max of basically 3600 atk (if you use only the level 6 monsters). can't be killed by spells and traps, that's good. and it has a great pop effect for more field control. this deck is pretty op'ed overall so far, and this is just all the mosnters!

now for the supporters, i think there are 5 or 6? lets take a look shall we?

[spoiler = Underworld support]

1. 172968q.jpg

effect: When this card is flipped face-up, place one Obol Counter on every monster on the field. When an opponent's monster with an Obol Counter is sent from the field to the Graveyard, banish it instead. When an "Underworld" monster with an Obol Counter is sent from the field to the Graveyard or banished, remove the Obol Counter instead of destroying the monster.

my comment: more great field control

2. 172968.jpg

effect: Special Summon 1 level 6 or lower "Underworld" monster from your hand, deck, or Graveyard. The Special Summoned monster gains 500 ATK and DEF. Then send it from the field to the Graveyard during the end phase of the turn this card is activated.

my comment: easy to get out a powerhouse, then its killed, alas, the monster won't get its special effect too, oh well, at least i can hit you hard.

3. 172968.jpg

effect: Cards that are sent from the Deck, hand, or field to the Graveyard are instead banished. You can discard or tribute 2 "Underworld" monsters you control to have your opponent skip their next Main Phase.

my comment: the second effect may be extremely op'ed but i'm going to let you decide if it should stay or go, and what it should be instead. maybe raise the number to 4 instead of 2? maybe...

4. 172968.jpg

effect: All banished "Underworld" monsters are returned to the owner's respective Graveyard(s). When an "Underworld" monster is removed from play, send it to the owner's Graveyard instead. For every "Underworld" monster that was banished during the activation of this card, add 1 Underworld Counter to this card. During your Standby Phase you can target 1 "Underworld" monster in your Graveyard, and remove counters from this card equal to that monster's level, and Special Summon that monster.

my comment: if this card is played you are finished, cuz now hades can come back, put a few judges on the field, more burn damage, more field control, more fantastic swarming, more abusing effects, you're pretty much done. maybe slightly op'ed but what card isn't? (shi-en, shooting star dragon, red dragon archfiend, evolzo xyzs, etc)

5. 172968m.jpg

effect: When an "Underworld" monster destroys your opponent's monster by battle, banish that monster and return one Spell or Trap card on the field to the owner's hand. When an "Underworld" monster is sent from the field to the Graveyard by your opponent (by battle or by card effect) or banished, put one Underworld Counter on this card. When this card has 5 Underworld Counters on it, you may send this card to the Graveyard to Special Summon up to two "Underworld" monsters from your Graveyard.

my comment: the banish/bounce effect can be useful in most cases, then more swarming power. noice

6. 172968.jpg

effect: All "Underworld" monsters on the field gain 300 ATK and DEF. When a monster is Special Summoned from the Graveyard the controller of this card randomly selects one card in their opponent's hand and banishes it. If the card was a monster card, your opponent loses 300 life points. If the card was a Spell or Trap card you can Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower "Underworld" monster from your Graveyard.

my comment: more burns from spec summoning, or a spec summon in itself! you have NO chances of defeating this

well that's what's going on in the underworld, hoped you enjoyed my cards, rate, relax, and enjoy. love feedback, please let me know if my cards were good! thank you for reading and have a great day!

These cards seem a bit overpowered. If Persephone and Aeacus are on the field together, your underworld beasts are practically invincible.

i guess i could make the summoning conditions harder for persephone, or make aeacus "underworld monsters cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects"

The overall idea on these cards are really good. You are right thought, some cards are OPed, but if you make the conditions on summoning them harder or by specifying what cards they affect more specifically (such as destroy 1 set Monster or a face-up Spell card, just some ideas).Their effects just need more balance between cost and gain (double-edged sword effects). After you make these changes, these cards will be really good. I hoped I helped out some man keep up the good work. :) Overall: 7/10
