Any changes made to the set, will be updated to the cards in this post and the Change log will be in the form of edits posted at the top.

EDIT: Fixed the issue with the images.

EDIT 2: Modified Beast's Spell/Trap zone eff so it can't special summon himself, and also so you must tribute for the stronger spell slinger monsters. Also lowered him from 1900 to 1700 attack. Modified Doom's Spell/Trap Zone effect to limit the number he specials summons based on your opponents cards (essentially giving him the same effect as Crystal Abundance), and modified both of Devourer's effects to target a card on the field instead of just your opponent's side, and also made the effect non-optional. Changed Ultimate's field spell effect from a 500 ATK/DEF boost / spell slinger to a 300 ATK only boost.

First time posting a custom set. Let me start by thanking all those whose artwork was made available for me to use. I am not an artist, and without them, wouldn't have been able to make this set. That said, this is a 21 card set. The inspiration behind it was Crystal Beasts, though it is a different play style.

This card gains the following effects based on where it is on the field: Spell/Trap Zone: "Spell Slinger" monsters you control cannot be removed from the field except by destruction. / Monster Zone: Tribute this card to special summon as many monsters in your spell/trap zone as possible. Return them during the end phase of this turn.

This card gains the following effects based on where it is on the field: Spell/Trap Zone: Once per turn, destroy one spell or trap card your opponent controls. If this effect is used, it can't be used again until your second standby phase after activation. / Monster Zone: Other "Spell Slinger" monsters you control cannot be targeted for battle or by card effects.

Effect: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card can be placed face-up in the spell/trap zone. This card gains the following effects based on where it is on the field: Spell/Trap Zone: Once per turn, send any number of "Spell Slinger" cards that are listed on a fusion material monster from the field to the grave to special summon that monster (this summon counts as a fusion summon). / Monster Zone: Once per turn, target one "Spell Slinger" card on the field or in the grave. This card gains it's effect.

This card gains the following effects based on where it is on the field: Spell/Trap Zone: Send all cards on the field to the grave (including this card). Then special summon this card. Then special summon "Spell Slinger" monsters from your graveyard equal to the number of your opponents cards sent by this effect to the grave. / Monster Zone: During the end phase, if this card is face up on the field, destroy all monsters on the field.

This card gains the following effects based on where it is on the field: Spell/Trap Zone: Once per turn, deal 500 damage to your opponent. / Field Spell: When a "Spell Slinger" monster would be destroyed, you can destroy a "Spell Slinger" card in your spell/trap zone instead.

2 Spell Slinger Monsters
When this monster would be destroyed, you can place it in your spell/trap zone instead. When this card is in the spell/trap zone, it gains the following effect: Once per turn, when your opponent declares an attack, negate the attack and destroy the attacking monster.

"Spell Slinger" Tuner + "Spell Slinger" Non-tuner
When this monster would be destroyed, you can place it in your spell/trap zone instead. When this card is in the spell/trap zone, it gains the following effect: Once per turn, during either player's turn, target one card in your opponents graveyard and banish it.

"Spell Slinger" Tuner + "Spell Slinger" Non-tuner
When this monster would be destroyed, you can place it in your spell/trap zone instead. When this card is in the spell/trap zone, it gains the following effect: When your opponent activates an effect that would banish a card, send this card to the grave to negate and destroy it. During the end phase, special summon this card.

"Spell Slinger" Tuner + "Spell Slinger" Non-tuner
Banish one card from your hand to return one card to the owner's hand. When this monster would be destroyed, you can place it in your spell/trap zone instead. When this card is in the spell/trap zone, it gains the following effect: Send one card you control to the grave to special summon one of your banished monsters.

3 "Spell Slinger" Monsters
When this monster would be destroyed, you can place it in your spell/trap zone instead. When this card is in the spell/trap zone, it gains the following effect: Send this card from the field to the grave to special summon one "Spell Slinger" monster from your grave.

"Spell Slinger" Synchro Monster + "Spell Slinger" Fusion Monster
You can send this card to the graveyard to special summon the fusion material used to summon it. When this monster would be destroyed, you can place it in your spell/trap zone instead. When this card is in the spell/trap zone, it gains the following effect: Once per turn, pay 1000 life. Destroy all cards on the field except this card.

5 Spell Slinger Monsters
When this card is summoned, you can return all cards on the field, in the both players hand, in the grave, and all banished cards to the owners deck. Both players then draw 5 cards. During either player's turn, discard all cards from your hand to destroy all cards your opponent controls.

so if you had nothing but spell slinger monsters in your hand, would you be able to place them all down in the spell and trap card zones and use all of their abilities from the start of your first turn? i didnt see a limit of how many times you can place a monster down that way. if you can just place them all down. then id say this whole set is op'd for that reason.

individual cards.

i think devourer's monster zone effect should be destroy 1 face-up monster on the field. not just your opponent's. same goes for its spell and trap zone effect. because its a once per turn effect. could kind of get op'd.

dooms effect to special summon it should be more costly, like inflict some life points damage to you for every card you special summon with it or something. or a good amount of life points to pay just to special summon it with the cost you already have.

veils spell and trap zone effect should have a cost. thats a far too good effect to be activated immediately just by placing it down. tribute a spell slinger in the monster card zone or something.

ultimates field spell zones attack increase is too high i think. 500 per spell slinger in your spell and trap card zone.when you can just place them down as you get them.especially with sources effect.just keep drawing them and place them down. op'd.

id change beasts monster zone effect to special summoning a level 4 or lower spell slinger from your spell and trap card zone. but thats just me. the way you have it now, it can be used in any deck to summon 2 monsters in 1 turn. with himself being 1900 atk. ehhh. can be op'd.

otherwise. i really liked the set and your twist off crystal beast. i personally hate them. but yours are great. i like the limit on every monster not being able to be normal summoned or set. good job.

I disagree that veil's spell/trap zone effect is overpowered. As a monster card, it's spell speed 1 meaning that traps could be activated in response to playing it, so I feel it's no more broke that Royal Decree. A player could still chain a card like Dust Tornado to it. As far as limiting the number of cards you can place on the field, I'm against it for the sole reason that while yes, you could conceivably have a lot of effects going turn one, it would cost you your whole hand. Even with source giving you draw power, it can still be deadly to leave your self without a hand. AKA, enter heavy storm.
