Zaratuir
Let me preface this by saying that I know this set is very boss-monster heavy. It's not designed to use every level 5 or higher monster in the set. Pick and choose what you want for different effects depending on how you build the deck. This is a dragon set based around having cards in your hand. The more cards you have in your hand, the more things you can do, but if you try to swarm and use too many cards too early, you'll find yourself without any effects. There's another counterpart to this set TBR that is pure spellcasters and focuses around discarding. Effect: If an opponent's monster attacks your lifepoints directly and you have four or more cards in your hand, negate the attack and special summon a dragon type monster from your hand. When this card is destroyed, return the dragon to your hand. When the dragon is removed from the field, destroy this card. Effect: Once per turn, if you have two or more cards in your hand, you can draw a card. Effect: If you have 5 or more cards in your hand, dragon cards cannot be destroyed by card effects. Effect: You can tribute two dragon-type monsters to special summon this card. When this card is in the graveyard, it is treated as a normal monster. Effect: This card cannot be special summoned. When this card is normal summoned, discard a card to special summon up to two dragons from your hand or grave. When this card is destroyed and sent to the grave, draw two cards. Effect: If you have four or more cards in your hand, once per turn you can destroy a monster on the field. If you activate this effect, this card cannot battle this turn. Effect: If you have three or more more cards in your hand, you can tribute this card to special summon a dragon or spellcaster monster from your hand. Effect: This card gains the following effects depending on how many cards are in your hand: 2+ Once per turn, Draw a card. 3+ Once per turn, discard 2 cards. Then draw two cards. 4+ When a dragon would be destroyed, discard a card instead. 5+ Discard a card. This card is unaffected by card effects until the end phase. This effect can be activated during either player's turn. 6+ Discard your hand to destroy all monster cards your opponent controls. Then draw 2. Effect: When this card is tributed for a dragon type monster, it can counts as two tributes. While you have three or more cards in your hand, you can select a dragon type synchro monster in your extra deck and increase or decrease its level by one until the end phase. (Note on this card. As of the set as it is now, there are no synchros, however the second half of this set which involves spellcasters will include synchros that require a dragon tuner.) Effect: If you control a dragon and you have one or more cards in your hand, activate one of the following effects depending on how many cards are in your hand: 1+ Discard a card, draw two cards. 2+ Draw a card. 3+ Draw two cards. Effect: If you control two or more dragons and have two or more cards in your hand, draw a card for each dragon on the field. Effect: This card can be special summoned by tributing a dragon type monster. While this card is face-up on the field, there is no limit to the number of cards in your hand. Effect: When this card is sent to the graveyard by a card effect, shuffle it back into your deck and draw one card. Effect: When your opponent plays a counter trap card and you have three or more cards in your hand, special summon this monster (from the hand) and negate and destroy all other cards in the chain. Both players take 500 damage for each card destroyed. Effect: If you have 3 or more cards in your hand, increase the attack power of all dragon type monsters by 500. Effect: If you have 2 or more cards in your hand, when this card destroys a monster by battle, you can destroy a magic or trap card on the field. Effect: When this card is sent to the graveyard while you have two or more cards in your hand, special summon a dragon with 2000 or less attack from your deck or hand. Effect: You can only activate this card if you have at least 4 cards in your hand. Discard two cards, then remove from play Fusion Material Monsters listed on a dragon type fusion monster card from your hand, field, or grave. Then special summon that fusion monster from your extra deck. (This summon counts as a fusion summon.) Effect: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by tributing three monsters or face up dragons whose combined level is 10. When your opponent activates a card effect that would destroy a card, you can discard a dragon to negate and destroy the card. Effect: This card is also treated as a dark monster. When this card is fusion summoned, draw two cards. If you have 4 or more cards in your hand, this card can attack twice per turn. Discard cards from your hand to increase the attack power of this monster by the number of cards discarded x500 until the end phase.
Atdhe Morina
Great deck but may I suggest adding this card I made to it?
Zaratuir
I think that would be a great card for this set. The only think I might suggest to change to make it more fitting for the set would be to mod it's effect to something like, while you have at least three cards in your hand, <insert your effect here>. ragnarok1945
Card Dragon has its uses for draw power, it's not much, but it works Dragon King is a little too situational. Getting that many cards into your hand is near impossible, despite the draw power effects today Sorcerer is meh for having no effects while on the field for Lord, the special summoning effect needs restrictions on the summoned monsters Death is meh, I personally would still allow it to attack, just not DIRECTLY
Zaratuir
Dragon Sorcerer was only included because it's summoning conditions include dragons and Dark Dragon Master. It's actually part of the spell caster aspect of this set that I'm still working on which has the power to special summon normal monsters with some level of ease. As far as card dragon, it's mainly used for its high defense. The draw power is just a perk. Regarding Dragon King, what if I included the stipulation "When this card is destroyed, destroy all monsters special summoned by this effect."? ragnarok1945
explain how that work first via example, then I'll judge
Zaratuir
As an example of how dragon sorcerer is useful in the second part of the set, one card I'm making, Foolish Necromancer (Level 2/Dark/Spellcaster/1000 ATK/1000 DEF) with the effect "When this card is sent to the grave, except by battle, special summon a normal spellcaster type monster from either player's grave." Several of the stronger spellcasters in the second part of the set will be gemini monsters, so you can easily use it's effect.
ragnarok1945
yeah but that seems to make the stronger spellcasters a bit TOO easy to get onto the field....
Zaratuir
Yes, but at the same time, to use most all of their effects, you have to discard cards, so you end up with no hand. It's a trade-off. You'll see when that part of the set is finished.
ragnarok1945
very well for Dragon of Life, the effect is easy to pull off, but maybe you should consider a more SPECIFIC Dragon or Spellcaster. Those have plenty in variety, which makes Dragon of Life's effect WAY too flexible...
