Banlist confirmed

Recommended Posts

We've been following the OCG banlist for a few years now, and for the most part, the OCG list has been curbing the power of problem cards and decks to a satisfactory degree.

But this time, the two most powerful Decks in the TCG are all but unscathed. Usually, even if the TCG has an issue, the banlist does something to weaken the offending Deck (like how Infernity got hit, even though the TCG had the near-broken Infernity Barrier as an exclusive). This time, our exclusives seem to be the ONLY reason the Deck is amazing in the TCG, so them not being hit in any fashion is considered unusual.

And problematic, since a VAST number of us are TCG players.

Indeed...also...for the record TCG is still fooling around and not giving us new priority which could make the Game so much balanced.

And about TCG Exclusives...Wind-Up s*** barely go out...Banlist should have been ready like a month a go or so...so it is doubtful it comtemples the power of cards that we just got...and that might have been played in...How many tourneys so far? The only card that might have just escaped is TGU which is pretty much older...but even then...Banlist did hear TCG at some point otherwise they wouldn't have hit Tengu...

I seriously doubt they're going to make two banlists, whether everyone thinks it's necessary and logical or not. Yes, this format is going to be flooded with Wind-Ups, Inzektors, and Dino Rabbits, and it's going to suck, but unless this list is fake (which I highly doubt it is), then we really just need to get over it.

This list doesn't even cater to OCG standards. With this, Inzektors pretty much become the only deck to run.

How good TGUless Inzektors are???

Coz only Good Inzektors I've seen lately have her as a staple...maybe that changes things a little?

Someone showme an OCG inzector Build so I can see if i'm talking bullshit here

Let's see,

combine the amazing HERO engine + the Ninja's Super Poly, which goes into lolwut backrow protection with Safe Zone + being able to use the same Super Poly to access the 1 (or 2 in TCG) gamebreaking Xyz that wins. Geez, I wonder why it wins games.

Also, I found it BS how they didn't hit Rekindling, despite Lavals using it to win often in the OCG.

Because wins =/= topping.

The banlist is meant to weaken Decks or cards that are problematic to the existence of other Decks and cards. Either because the card is outright too powerful, a Deck with that card in multiples is too powerful, or because the card/combo is so generic that other Decks and strategies struggle to compete if they don't use that card.

That's why Dustshoot is banned on this list. If you use Dustshoot, you gain a great advantage by seeing their hand, all their options in hand, and being able to return a crucial monster to the Deck, where it may be difficult to retrieve. If you dont run Dustshoot, you don't have nearly the same level of advantage as someone who does run Dustshoot will have. It's not really a skillful card. It's a bit sacky, and just screws with a player too much. The only weakness is the risk of a dead draw, and the advantage that can be reaped far exceeds that risk.

Flamvell and Lavals can use Rekindling easily to great effect, but they aren't consistent enough to put other Decks to shame the way some cards in some Decks can. Until that day comes when Flamvell and Laval are almost too powerful to battle against on even ground, Rekindling will probably be ignored.
