Since .Rai suggested my earlier Spirit support "Next World Toran" would benefit from a banishing Spirit, here goes. I am better at making esoteric, rather than truly realistic cards, so this may go through many incarnations.

Thoughts?

Effect: Cannot be Special Summoned. During the End Phase of the turn this card was Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: Return this card to the hand. You can banish 1 Spirit Monster from your hand: Place this card on the field (from your hand). Once per turn: You can banish 1 Spirit Monster in your Graveyard: Banish 1 monster from your opponent's Graveyard with a Level equal to lower than the banished monster's; It cannot leave the Banished Zone during your opponent's next turn.

well it has a reasonable banishing effect

problem is are you trying to target really high level opponent's monster to banish via this strategy or something? Because I'm not sure how many lv5 or higher spirit monsters there are....

More I'm trying to get rid of, and then temporarly lock out, the fodder for "Chaos" Summons and Graveyard strategies.

I've tried Spirits once, and they are pretty hard to pull on the Graveyard. I can be wrong, maybe I used a bad deck. So, I suggest you to give it a stronger effect, since it is hard to place those spirits in the Grave. Also, I've never seen a monster being placed on the field, I think that with that effect, the monster does not return to your hand, since they are not Summoned, am I right?

Maybe I should give it something similar to "Exterio" so it keeps throwing Spirits?

Correct.

Sure, but the effect would be pretty huge, a little unrealistic, IMO. Maybe find another way to place it on the field and make the last effect destroy monsters on the field. Destroy any card would be a little op for level 4.

Okay. I think I'll take a version of "Exterio's" cost, and change the effect to either destroy/banish monsters while battling or activating.

I'm tempted to say to change the pseudo-Special Summon cost to this:
You can banish 1 Level 4 Spirit Monster from your hand: Place this card on the field (from your hand).
i.e. replace Graveyard with the hand. Makes it about 300 times easier. I realise the second version has that effect, but the first version's other effects combined with the second's helpful summoning thing is probably best.

And highly useful and flavourful.

Okay. Edited version up.

Thanks for rating.
