Zyzzyzus
This is an extension to the idea of "Senet". With these Chess Archfiends, you can play a sort of Chess, but you can move the pieces twice per turn, and you have to put them on the board during the game. The other support monsters don't have the Monster and S/T Zone mechanic, just as how only the original Chess Archfiends + Skull Archfiend of Lightning had the dice rolls. Keep in mind that there isn't always enough space for the card text to be just barely legible, so assume I mean unoccupied whenever I mention an adjacent Zone, and that a monster is still treated as a monster in a S/T Zone.
Each time a player's "Archfiend" monster(s) is sent to the Graveyard, except by battle, that player can add 1 "Archfiend" monster from their Deck to their hand that is a lower Level than the destroyed card. Twice per turn, you can move 1 "Archfiend" monster you control to an adjacent unoccupied Monster Card Zone or Spell/Trap Card Zone, except "Vilepawn Archfiend" (monsters placed onto a Spell/Trap Card Zone by this effect are still treated as monsters). Monsters your opponent control cannot attack "Archfiend" monsters you control in a different column, or "Archfiend" monsters you control in a Spell/Trap Card Zone while you control a "Vilepawn Archfiend" in the same column. If you control a "Darkbishop Archfiend" in the same column, this card cannot be targeted by card effects. This card gains 600 ATK when battling with an opponent's monster in a diagonally adjacent Monster Card Zone. When this card is destroyed, you can move 1 adjacent "Archfiend" monster you control to the Monster Card Zone that this card occupied. If this card destroyed a monster as a result of battle this turn, during your next End Phase, you can Tribute this card to Special Summon 1 "Archfiend" monster from your Deck. The controller of this card pays 300 Life Points during each of his/her Standby Phases (this is not optional). While this card occupies a Monster Card Zone, once per turn, you can destroy 1 monster occupying a diagonally adjacent Monster Card Zone if you control another "Archfiend" monster in the same column. You can Special Summon 1 "Archfiend" monster from your hand or Graveyard OR select 2 "Archfiend" monsters you control, and place them in any adjacent unoccupied Zone you control instead of conducting your normal draw during your Draw Phase. The controller of this card pays 700 Life Points during each of his/her Standby Phases (this is not optional). While this card occupies a Monster Card Zone, you can inflict 1000 damage once on that Zone if your opponent controls no cards in that column. While this card occupies a Spell/Trap Card Zone, it cannot be targeted by card effects, and once per turn, you can destroy 1 Spell or Trap card your opponent controls if you control another "Archfiend" monster in the same column. If you activate either effect, this card cannot attack during the same turn. This card's controller must pay 500 Life Points during each of his/her Standby Phases (this is not optional). While this card occupies a Monster Card Zone, when an "Archfiend" monster you control battles with a monster in the same column, increase its ATK and DEF by 500 during the Damage Step only. While this card occupies a Spell/Trap Card Zone, it cannot be targeted by card effects, and when an "Archfiend" monster you control would be destroyed, except "Vilepawn Archfiend", you can Tribute this face-up card instead. The controller of this card pays 900 Life Points during each of his/her Standby Phases (this is not optional). While this card occupies a Monster Card Zone, you can negate the effect of a card that would destroy an "Archfiend" monster you control in an adjacent Monster Card Zone, and destroy that card. While this card occupies a Spell/Trap Card Zone, it cannot be targeted by card effects, and during each Standby Phase increase the ATK of 1 Level 4 or lower "Archfiend" monster you control in the same column by 700. Cannot be Summoned unless you control at least 2 "Archfiend" monsters. The controller of this card pays 1100 Life Points during each of his/her Standby Phases (this is not optional). While this card occupies a Monster Card Zone, you can Tribute 1 "Archfiend" monster you control to negate the effects of your opponent's monsters (everywhere) until your next Standby Phase. While this card occupies a Spell/Trap Card Zone, you can discard 2 cards to destroy 3 cards on the field. If this card's effect(s) are activated, it cannot attack during the same turn. Cannot be Special Summoned by "Vilepawn Archfiend". You can Special Summon this card from your hand by Tributing 2 "Archfiend" monsters you control. This card's controller pays 1300 Life Points during each of their Standby Phases (this is not optional). While this card occupies a Monster Card Zone, your opponent cannot Special Summon monsters in Zones adjacent to or diagonally adjacent to this card if you control an "Archfiend" monster in the same column. While this card occupies a Spell/Trap Card Zone, draw 1 card during each Standby Phase.

Cannot be Special Summoned by "Vilepawn Archfiend". You can Special Summon this card from your hand by Tributing 1 face-up "Archfiend" monster you control. This card can only attack while it occupies a Monster Card Zone. While this card occupies a Spell/Trap Card Zone, during each Standby Phase, both players pay half the amount of Life Points required by the effects of "Archfiend" monsters. (Negate the paying of Life Points by the effects of other "Archfiend" monsters.) If you control an "Archfiend" monster in the same column, when your opponent declares an attack, you can select another target for that attack. While there exists a face-up "Pandemonium" on either side of the field, you can Tribute this face-up card to negate the activation of a Spell or Trap card, and destroy it. Cannot be Special Summoned by "Vilepawn Archfiend". You can Special Summon this card from your hand when a face-up "Archfiend" monster you control leaves the field by a card effect. The controller of this card pays 500 Life Points during each of his/her Standby Phases (this is not optional). When this card destroys a monster by battle, add 1 "Archfiend" monster from the Deck to your hand. *Beast of Talwar was called Talwar Demon originally, thus it is an Archfiend. While you control "Pandemonium", you can Special Summon this card from your hand, but its ATK and DEF are halved. When this card inflicts Battle Damage, you can Special Summon 1 "Vilepawn Archfiend" from your Graveyard, and place it in any unoccupied Zone you control. Tribute this card and 1 other "Archfiend" monster you control to Special Summon 1 Level 6 or higher "Archfiend" monster from your Graveyard. *Lesser Demon This card cannot be Special Summoned except by its own effect. You can Special Summon this card from your hand if you control "Dark Ruler Ha Des", or by Tributing 1 Fiend-Type monster while you control "Pandemonium". When this card destroys a monster by battle, gain Life Points equal to twice the ATK of that monster. If this card would leave the field by a card effect, you can discard 1 "Archfiend" monster from your hand to negate the effect and destroy it. *The only Archfiend that can help you gain the Life Points you lost.

Activate only when an "Archfiend" monster you control is moved to an adjacent column. That monster gains an additional attack during your next turn (it can attack even if an effect disallows it to attack during that turn). Only 1 "Discovered Attack" can be activated per turn. *I used the Japanese name for this card. It makes more sense thematically and with its new effect. See here for the term in regards to chess. Once per turn, when an "Archfiend" monster you control would be destroyed by battle, you can move it to an adjacent unoccupied Monster Card Zone to negate its destruction (Damage calculation is applied normally.) If you do not control at least 2 "Archfiend" monsters, except "Skull Archfiend of Lightning", destroy this card. The equipped monster gains 1000 ATK. This card is always equipped to a monster you control that occupies the same column. If you control no monster in the same column as this card, you can discard 1 "Archfiend" monster from your hand and Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Archfiend" monster from your Graveyard to the Monster Card Zone adjacent to this card. That monster cannot attack during the same turn. Destroy this face-up card to move up to 2 "Archfiend" monsters you control to an adjacent Zone (they are still treated as monsters). *Demon's Axe You can Special Summon this card from your hand or Graveyard when an "Archfiend" monster is destroyed. During your Standby Phase, this card gains ATK equal to the total amount of Life Points listed in the card text of "Archfiend" monsters you control. You can negate the activation of a card effect or the effect of a card on the field by banishing 1 "Archfiend" monster from your Graveyard. *Ha Des is not an Archfiend, but I put him in anyway. In regards to the Fiend-Type, it seems that it's Dark World/Fabled, and everything else. With this in mind, it would make sense to have "everything else" be related to Archfiends. Activate when 2 or more "Archfiend" monsters you control are destroyed this turn, and you control no monsters. Special Summon 1 Level 8 or higher DARK Fiend-Type monster from your Deck, ignoring its Summoning Conditions. If that monster is destroyed before your next End Phase, you take 3000 damage. You can Special Summon this card from your hand by Tributing 1 Fiend-Type monster while you control "Pandemonium". While this card remains face-up on the field, "Pandemonium" cannot be destroyed, and during each of your Standby Phases, negate the paying of Life Points by "Archfiend" monsters you control. During each End Phase, the turn player can discard 1 card from their hand (negate the discarded card's effect), if they do not, they take 2000 damage. *The original effect didn't fit well. He's now got Pandemonium's original effect that I omitted, as well as Pandemonium Watchbear's. Pay 500 Life Points to move an "Archfiend" monster you control to an adjacent unoccupied Zone. Monsters affected by this card cannot attack during the same turn that they were moved. While this card remains face-up on the field, once per turn you can negate the effects of a "Dark World" card by banishing 1 "Archfiend" card from your hand or Graveyard. *You can imagine the Oath having something to do with the separation of the Archfiends and Dark Worlds. I'm not all that familiar with the backstory behind the cards, so it would help if someone could explain to me the relation between the Fiends. Thranduil
Dude I love the Chess archfiends. I wish mine weren't stolen however what you have done here is so awesome. It make it like a real chess board to play the pieces on. This should have been how they first made the set.
They were rather quick to abandon the moving cards between zones idea, but I have the feeling that it will make a comeback at some point. Beast of Talwar + Checkmate has been meddled with. Behold their glory.
Hermit Purple
much better than the original, they seem more effective this way
Thranduil
What is bizarre is that even though they abandoned the idea of moving cards between zones however people still do it just to put monsters in different locations.

Thranduil
After re reading your cards I still love them but I am a little confused could you please elaborate on this effect. (While this card occupies a Spell/Trap Card Zone, during each Standby Phase, both players pay half the amount of Life Points required by the effects of "Archfiend" monsters. (Negate the paying of Life Points by the effects of other "Archfiend" monsters.))

Terrorking requires you to pay 1100, while Darkbishop requires 300. Skull Archfiend forces both players to pay (not receive as damage) half of each of those amounts, so during either player's Standby Phase, both players pay a total of 700 Life Points. Skull Archfiend negates the paying of Life Points by Terrorking and Darkbishop, so that you don't pay 1400 according to their effects, only the 700. By the way, I am Zyzzyzus, but unfortunately I no longer have access to the email account that I used to register that account with.
Mr.WHAM
Ok I was about to say...I'll look at these because my friend loves the whole "Archfiend archetype and you could solve the aforementioned problem as by using PandemoniumI like the revamping of the effects that you've provided. The seem incredibly useful! As I continue to read them I'll put in more but so far 8/
