Minecraft Cards (COMPLETE SET)

Hey guys. I've had this idea on my mind for quite sometime, so I thought I'd swing by here and make it a reality. A few things I want to say before I show you guys some of my results.

1) I created these cards so that you can just slide them into your Deck and play with them singlehandedly. Although, they would be stronger as an entire deck, but most players should be satisfied with what they get.


2) All the images I got from Google Images, so please understand my limitations. I would go into Minecraft and take screenshots myself, but there are two problems with that. One: The Minecraft screenshot is too big for the card maker, and two: My Minecraft doesn't work.

3) I'm splitting up posting these cards by nines. The reason for me doing so is to give the sensation of opening a pack of cards. In my childhood, I remember nine cards being in a pack, and I'm not sure if that's changed. But, I'm keeping it like it is.

4) Please give me feedback and ideas!

What about doing minecraft cards on some of the mods?

Love this set, 9/10, it would be a Perfect, but 1 thing lets it down, Crafting Table = Jar of Greed.

@Snowfox - Because I don't know many mods. Like I said, I can't play Minecraft on my computer, so I don't really many mods. The only mods I'm familiar with is TooManyItems, and I can't really think of a card for that.

@DemoPan - I just realized that. I'll change that in a few seconds.

EDIT. Is the Crafting Table effect better now?

Seriously, though: I've added another set of nine, soon to be reaching my goal of 50 cards. I would be doing cards for the potions, then only problems, I can't find a proper image for it. They are either too small, have a white background that can't be put behind anything, or just look bad. And I would just do a "written card," but it would just seem out of place. If I had potions, I would be able to go above and beyond my goal of 50 cards (by adding brewing stands, the six potions, and an empty flask for you to send one of the potions to your hand). But, sadly, since I can't find the images, I cannot do them. INSTEAD, I will try and add more food, and trap cards. GIVE ME ANY IDEAS YOU MIGHT HAVE!

Nine more cards added! I am uber excited to do the next set (54). The only problem, I'm running out of ideas. I have one idea that goes with the Enchantment Table, and that's all. So, if you have any ideas for me, please suggest them!

If I could, I would definitely finish this off with potions. The only problem is, I can't find a good picture of all the potions. I would try to upload them with a background, but I can't upload a bitmap to the Card Maker. So, I'm going to have to improvise.

So, this is the end of the Minecraft cards. I've run out of ideas, and until I can find some good pictures of all the potions, I might not be continuing on with this. But, if there are any changes that I can make to any of the cards, please say so, because I want these cards to be as perfect as possible.

But, wait, does this mean this is the last of me? Of course not. I'm planning on starting a new set of cards for another game. So, keep a sharp eye out.

Screenshot the potions, save it, change the file extension to .PNG

Also, the OCG on the ender portal is a bit off.

And the golden apple is OP'd, change it to like 800 or 900.

And I just realized I try to make stuff balanced in the non-realistic section. I'm such a derp.

I guess the OCG could be better. But, that's the best I could do without the text going tiny and me having to go through the (almost) undisturbed evenness by adding the effect below it.

In the game, the Golden Apple heals you to full health. I thought that would be the best thing to do. I guess I could always change it to "You and your Opponent's Life Points." But, it just isn't worth it.

Notice the word, "mythical." I know it's a big part of the Minecraft folklore, but it just isn't too fitting. Same goes for Steve. And, the biomes as field spells would be a good idea, it's just that in Minecraft they don't really do anything that increases/decreases your stats. You just find different plants and the ground sometimes looks different.

The cards are [i]nice,[/i] but could be improved.... a lot....

First of all, No such thing as a quick play trap card (TNT). Change it, get rid of it, whatever...
Also, If you're going to go into "attacking during the standby phase", please explain what actually goes on during that step, what people can and cant do, etc.
Next, for the food based items at least, look at other cards (that are NOT banned) that increase lifepoints. Look back at your cards and think: "With these I can have 9 cards in my deck that give me a total of 150,000 Lifepoints." Thats almost double than what you start with! BAD IDEA.
Actually, before you go and add new cards for potions or whatever, go look at your cards an compare them to real cards. If your cards seem like a WAY better option than the card you're comparing them to, they are overpowered.

Again, nice set, just needs some balance tweaking (mostly overpowered cards).

P.S. While not necessary right now, you can also thinking about changing them in a way that makes the cards work TOGETHER, and not just a pile of cards with effects related to what they are.

Very nice! I would give 8/10, only because of the quickplays on the traps(makes it look weird) and there are some grammar errors here and there, espcially in the Ender Portal ritual card. You should instead make it a spell that needs something like an Ender Pearl(stuff that makes Ender Portals) in your Field/Hand in order to activate the card and summon the Ender Dragon. Otherwise, nice job!

PS: I could be able to help you take screenshots, as my Minecraft is working. Just tell me what you need.

I agree with him on the way that the cards should work together, as then it is worthless. Decks are made to work together.

Very beautiful cards though some of them are OP as stated. Try balancing them. For instance, cake heals too much. So do cookies. I'd lower them by at least half.

All of the stat cards are a little OP as well, such as Diamond Armor. Try lowering their Attack stat to compensate, or lowering the amount of Defense raised.

The card pictures are stretched and contorted. Try cropping some of them in Paint, Gimp, Photoshop, etc. it'll make them look much better. I understand your limitations but some editing is sometimes required.
