My goal per se with the card was to make a simplistic monster that can easily clash and run over cards like Roach and Thunder King to give some examples. It is also a Fairy and a DARK monster, meaning it can be easily used in a Fairy based deck and can give targets for BLS, Chaos Sorc or even Dark Armed Dragon. The discard from your hand also can give you further possible ways to dump dead cards to the graveyard, or to send important cards to the graveyard (In agents, get an Agent to the graveyard for Master Hyperion).

Remember the advance clause guys ;D.

It seems alright. 2000 Atk at the cost of discarding a card is meh, but as you say discarding certain cards is a good thing. Perhaps make the Atk gain last until the End Phase of your opponent's turn? That way it doesn't get instantly steamrolled. Not really much more to say, it's an average, well-balanced card, although maybe slightly UP. Perhaps lower the level to 3 so it would work with Tour Guide in a wierd mishmash of a chaos deck. That and thematically.

I am not completely sure if I want to make it last until the opponents End Phase. The goal of this card isn't really to have it out to long (like Card Trooper in a way), just long enough for you to deal with the threats and hand to and get some extra graveyard.

And to work with Tour Guide, I would have to make it a Fiend-type monster. I like the card the way it is atm, if I see anything new that catches my eye in terms of making the card better, I will defiantly change it.
