Premier Alexander Romanov
What's this category anyway? If you're one of those crazy people who go on DN and say, "HERP DERP NO WIND-UPS NO INZEKTORS NO META DECKS" I'm sorry but no-one's helping.
It's not like that... I just...I don't get what you're going for. I don't understand all of this reasoning. ...What am I doing?

Premier Alexander Romanov
I am running this build because it combines speed and control, allowing me to quickly get out GBs while stopping my opponent in their tracks. Usually, if my opponent makes a move, I have some counter that sometimes eliminates any response he has. The deck is surprisingly consistent, and I rarely have to use A Hero Lives. Out of 20 duels, half of them matches, I only once recall getting a genuinely bad hand. I thought this would be relatively OK on this forum, but it seems like the moment I posted it, everyone was like "OMG it's Hero GBs! Kill it with fire!". I feel like I have been attacked, and had to defend myself just for wanting to showcase one of my best decks.
Synchronized
Don't take out A Hero Lives or Prisma, that's just stupid. They add consistency. Lanista is bad. Take it out for a Stratos and a third AHL.

You can't possibly post something and hope that everyone thinks it's alright. People will obviously find things wrong with every deck. If you must run A Hero Lives this format, at least run it properly. Since we're obviously not going to persuade you to get rid of it, on to the second question. 2. Why on earth are you running Lanista when Darius does the same thing? They both basically take a monster's name from the Grave, except Lanista banishes your target which is bad, while Darius is a +1. The only target Lanista is good for is Bestiari. And Darius does that exactly the same way.
CDDRodrigo
*feels like betraying my own giant suggestion as to making people better* Look, A Hero Lives GB.dek isn't a bad variant, but it's not the best. What Rai and Koko are trying to tell you is that the fixes they provided are going to make your GB deck work better. GBs are like Gravekeepers, they don't need speed to work properly. .Rai
In a decktype, there will always be a better build over the others. A Hero Lives will never be the better build this format, whether you like it or not. We're just generally trying to make sure you realise that it isn't the best build, and we can proceed once you are aware of that.

It's an 1800 that can serve as an Icarus target and, in an emergency, be used for Tag Fusion. I have yet to use its effect. And I'm sorry for being arrogant. I'm just really proud of this deck and the things that it has managed to accomplish. OK. So Icarus is bad, therefore Lanista has to go, right? What, other than Rai-Oh, will be taking its place?
Well, beatsticks being ran just for Icarus and its name aren't that useful. Icarus Attack just isn't useful when you have 3 targets. It's inconsistent, and still less useful. You can easily run Bottomless Trap Hole over Icarus Attack and get the same amount of advantage. Darius is basically a 1800 using Forbidden Lance. Chances are, if you're running Glads, nothing you have will be used as a beatstick apart from Laqueri.

Premier Alexander Romanov
OK. Moving on. What's wrong with Test Tiger? It seems very useful, allowing for you to swap out a GB you don't want for one you do, and then use its effect. I'm not trying to argue anymore. Just asking.
