Just Crouton Posted April 2, 2012 Report Share Posted April 2, 2012 I saw someone post a deck in My Deck about high DEF monsters, and thought of that Rock structure deck released about 6 years ago with the defenders that Set themselves and when flipped up, do something. It had Stone Statue of the Aztecs and Canyon, both of which double the Battle Damage to an opponent takes damage attacking a Defense Position monster. But why would your opponent attack if they know all your monsters have higher DEF then their monster's ATK? The game would take forever, or until the opponent draws Dark Hole, so this makes the opponent either attack or take damage. You cannot Summon any other monsters this turn. This card cannot be Tributed, or used as Material for a Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz Summon. If this card battles a Defense Position monster: It's ATK is halved until the end of the Battle Phase. During this card's controller's End Phase: Inflict 500 damage to this card's controller for each monster they control that did not attack this turn. Caseywwm Posted April 3, 2012 Report Share Posted April 3, 2012 I like almost everything that this card has to offer, it's really well put together with the wording and general effect of it. However, I believe this card is simply too hard to remove from the field. There is only 1 Synchro monster who can benefit from this card, and 1 Xyz monster who can benefit from this card as well. SO preventing its use in either is just silly. Also preventing it from being tributed is just too much to be honest. Lava Golem who is similar, and likely the basis of your card doesn't prevent you from tributing it, because 1000 burn damage per turn if pretty damned high. This card with the rock structure deck would just make it overkill if it couldn't be tributed. Reason being, you'll likely take much more than 1000 damage per turn with it on the field almost no matter what you do, unless of course you could manage to get a beater on the field powerful enough to break through the Rock's wall. And yes, I realize there are ways to get this card off of the field, but its too unfair to make someone expend even more of their own resources in order to get rid of something in which monsters were already spent on to begin with. This is essentially a -1 to you for a -3 to your opponent just to get it to go away, and not to mention its a -2 with constant burn damage or battle damage if it lingers around. Just make it easier to get rid of, and it'll be a lot better. I'll give it an initial rating of 7.5/10 I'll go so far as to give it a 9/10 if this issue is fixed.
