Yu-Gi-Oh Turn of the Century

My first Story about Yu-Gi-Oh, I write alot and i wanted to have a go at a Yu-Gi-Oh story. If i get alot of good reviews ill write a continuation but untill then enjoy the first chapter of Turn of the Century.
also sorry i put HERO, I really hate how they changed it to that but i thought i should change it to that way anyway. And it kinda got messed up when i copy and pasted but oh well.



Aaron walked forward into the stadium. This was it, his first duel monsters tournament. Aaron was from Little brook Minnesota, a town of only 100 people and he was the best there but now he was in the big leagues. New York City, in the Kaiba dome, he didn’t know it but he stuck out like a sore thumb. The city kids walked by him like he was an alien from mars, even the kid dressed like an alien to them, Aaron was dressed very small town with his plaid shirt and blue dirtied jeans. As he brushed to one side un-styled brown hair looking at the awe of all of it, all he had with him was a suitcase filled with two outfits, his duel gazer and his duel disk. He grabbed his deck which sat on his belt in a tightly closed box, 48 cards he had worked incredibly hard to get. Before he could think any more a man appeared on a screen connected to the wall next to him. It was the host of the tournament who was in the middle of the dome.
“Ladies and Gentlemen” He spoke catching the attention of all who were there, “Welcome to the 50[sup]th[/sup] Kaiba corp. Duel Monsters Tournament. Now I know all of you are very excited to begin so ill make this short the rules are as usual, no illegal cards and if you lose your out, now all of you will be assigned a sector there are 8 sectors and the person who wins every duel in the sector gets to go to the finals with the 8 from the other sectors and then 4, then 2, victory! After this turn on your duel gazers and it will tell you which sector you will be assigned to, but before we start ill leave the floor to the Duel Monsters Reigning champion.” The started clapping and the crowd followed as he stepped to the side and from behind a tall well dressed man walked out.
“Woh” Aaron said to himself silently. He was about to see in person Daniel Renter, The Duel Monsters Champion for 12 years.
Daniel walked up the pedestal and stood silent for a few second, the crowd still as a rock. Suddenly he leaned in very slow and said four simple words,” It’s time, To Duel!!!” Daniel raised his fist in the air as he spoke, the crowd raised hell as everyone turned on their duel gazers to see what sector they had been assigned to.
Aaron looked at his with a sigh, sector 8. Last place in the sectors last place in the tournament he thought. He had only duel the people from his home town, they were nothing, and now he stepped into the big leagues and was afraid he wouldn’t make it past round one. Aaron walked forward with a woeful outlook to get onto the bus that would take him to sector 8.
He walked onto the bus with a thousand eyes glaring at him. As he walked along the aisles each seat taken or he was told of not to sit, then one seat was empty and the man sitting partnered with it. The two looked at each other, Aaron expecting another angry look, The man looked at him and nodded a yes. Aaron smiled to the idea that there was at least one nice person.
“Hey I’m Phillip” The man said
“Aaron” he sat putting his bag on his lap. “This is exciting” He said with a grin
“You’ve never been in an official tournament before?” Phillip asked confused, scratching his arm.
“No have you?”
Phillip looked at him for a moment. “No neither have I” he said with a shrug.
The bus continued down the road for a bit and the two got rather acquainted with each other.
“I think this is the sector.” Philip said looking out the window.
Everyone shuffled off of the buss and ran excitingly it was a large park with many stations for food. Aaron was having the time of his life now but was kinda scarred still. People had already started playing. Both Aaron and Philip looked around at all the monsters.
“So your first timers?” A mysterious voice said walking off the bus.
“Excuse me?” Phil said looking at the stranger. He was tall, blue hair, white tanktop and blue shorts.
“I heard your little talk on the bus.” He said walking towards them, “This is your first tourney, This is my 4[sup]th[/sup]! So who wants to go against me?”
“I’ll…” Phil said with confidence walking forward but was then stopped by Aaron.
“No let me.” Aaron walked forward to him and they shook hands and walked to an empty spot in the park.
“Let’s duel!” the two said in sync.
Aaron: 4000
Castiel: 4000
“Oh and where are my manners I’m Castiel.”
“I’m Aaron and nice to meet the man I’m about to beat,” Aaron drew looking at the cards in his hand.” Not bad lets start with this! I summon the Elemental HERO Lady Heat in attack mode!”

“then ill set one card face-down and end my turn, and thanks to lady heat you lose 200 life points.”
Castiel: 3800
“Nice but not good enough.” Castiel drew.” Ill summon the Sea Serpent Warrior of Darkness in attack mode.

“And then I activate the field spell, A Legendary Ocean!”

“And with that I’ll activate the spell Big Wave Small wave, this destroys all my water monsters.” Sea Serpent shattered and his field laid empty.

“I don’t get it, Why would you destroy your own monster?” Aaron said frightened by what might happen next.
“Because thanks to Big wave I get to summon monsters from my hand, so welcome Levia-Dragon – Daedalus!”

“And thanks to legendary ocean he gets 200 attack! Now Levia, annihilate his little girl.” His dragon soared down and ate Aaron’s hero.
Aaron: 2500
“That’s alright her death won’t be in vein I activate my trap Hero Signal!”

“So now I’ll get my Elemental HERO Woodsman and summon him in attack mode.”
Aaron stood with his hand on his deck if his turn went the way he planned this would turn right around. “DRAW!” [i]Fake Hero, [/i]Aaron knew exactly what he could do. “First, since woodsman is face up during my standby I can get a polymerization to my hand. Next, ill activate it to fuse the Woodsman on my field and Ocean in my hand to summon, The Elemental HERO Terra Firma!”

“So what he still doesn’t have enough to kill my levia” Castiel said in a snarky tone as if he was knew for fact he had this in the bag.
“Someone needs to read up on effects then,” Aaron said pulling another card out of his hand.
“Don’t patronize, I know what he does but in case you haven’t noticed your field is rather bare… Unless?”
“Unless this, I activate the Fake Hero spell card! So now I can special summon an Elemental HERO from my hand,” Aaron reached for the second card in his hand. “Enter the Elemental HERO Neos!”

But he wont be here for long cause I tribute him to activate Terra’s effect, Now hes at a grand spanking 5000! Now Terra, attack his Levia!” Terra jumped and ripped the jaw off of Levia and he shattered into pieces.
Castiel: 1600
“Oh well I’m still alive so my draw!” Castiel said drawing very dramatically. “I activate Monster Reborn to bring back my Levia!”
Aaron’s face went from happy to sad in that one sentence. He knew his Terra was now back to 2500 and there was no way he could stop him now.
“Now I’ll activate his effect and destroy my Legendary ocean to destroy every card on the field, except my Levia that is. Goodbye, little hero.” Castiel laughed intensely as Aaron sent his Terra to the grave.
“And now I’ll sacrifice my Levia to summon Ocean Dragon Lord- Neo-Daedalus!”
Phil stood to the side thinking. He knew that if he had activated Dragon Lord’s effected he would have destroyed cards in Aarons hand too but at the cost of discarding his own hand. [i]What is so important in his hand he would risk a game turn for? [/i]
“Now My Dragon, Attack him directly and end this!” Neo swerved in the air and slammed down on Aaron and Castiel laughed. “Oh how embarrassing to lose in the first round but hey, someone has to.” The smoke cleared and he was shocked to see his duel gazer said Aaron still had 2500 life points. “What’s this! Why didn’t you lose!”
“You forgot about the card in my hand” Aaron said turning it around for him to see. It’s Kuriboh and by discarding this little fella, I take no damage.”
“Fine you last for one more turn” Castiel said
“Draw!” Aaron smiled. “Since it’s the nly card in my hand I can special summon The Elemental HERO Bubbleman! So now I can draw 2 cards.” Aaron drew twice, looking at them his grin grew to a confident smile. “Now since that was only a special ill summon the Elemental HERO Clayman in attack mode and activate miracle fusion, now ill can summon Elemental HERO Mudballman and with his 3000 def im safe from harm.”
”Oh we will see about that.” Castiel drew, ”I’ll activate the Umiiruka field spell!”

“Now my monster gains attack and your monster loses defence.”
“Crap,” Aaron flinched as Castiel’s dragon blew Mudballman to pieces.
[i]Come on Aaron you can pull back. [/i]Aaron thought to himself as he pulled himself up. “Let’s finish this!” He drew, “I’ll activate Pot of Avarice, so I get 5 monsters from my grave to my deck.” He pulled out Kuriboh, Woodsman, Lady Heat, Terra Firma and Ocean. “Now I draw 2 cards.” With a smile, “Ill summon Neo Spacian Grand Mole and attack!”
“What, why would you attack!” Castiel shouted. The mole jumped at both monsters exploded in a firry intense death. “Wait Neo is in my hand, how did he…”
“When Grand Mole attacks both monsters are sent back to the hand. So ill set one card and that’ll be all.” Aaron smiled and whipped his brow. He was close and it was only luck but soon the duel will end and he knew it.
“Ill summon Familiar-Possesed – Eria in attack and she’ll attack directly with 2350 thanks to Umiiruka.” Eria lunged forward with her staff stabbing Aaron in the chest.
Aaron: 150
“Your move.” Castiel said waving his hand to him rudely like Aaron was worthless.
Aaron drew, he could feel it, it was the last draw he would take this duel. “I’ll activate O – Oversoul and get a normal HERO from my grave and summon it and ill summon Elemental HERO Neos. Next I’ll summon Grand Mole again and contact fuse! Come out Elemental HERO Grand Neos!”

“Now with his effect I can send Eria back to your hand, Neos Attack directly and end this!”
Neos jumped down and with a quick swoop smacked Castiel across the face with his drill. Castiel fell to the ground, “No, how could I lose in the first round!” Castiel got up and ran to Aaron who was putting his deck away. “We go again that wasn’t fair, I got a bad hand…”
Suddenly Castiel was pulled away by Phillip and thrown to the ground. “You go against him, you’ll have to go against me.”
“You your just a first timer too.”
“No think real hard, you get it.”
Castiel stared at Phil and soon it came to him, “You’re…”
Phil stopped him, “Shhh, he doesn’t know.” He pushed him down and made Castiel’s head hit the floor violently and then walked to Aaron.
“What was that about?” Aaron said looking at Castiel behind them holding his head in pain.
“Nothing let’s go, Great duel by the way.” Phil patted Aarons back, “I’ve never really seen someone use a Hero deck that well.”
“Thanks man next you get to duel.”
“Sure, why not.”

It's a good story all in all besides a couple of grammar mistakes but I say this with good intent, from a person that wants to write to another, rewrite if needed the same story but give the characters different decks, this way you basically copied Jaden Yuki's deck and it's kind of old-fashioned, if you want the main character can keep the deck but with more modern cards such as E-HERO The Shining and Masked HERO as well. Just saying this so you don't make an exact copy of Yu-Gi-Oh GX.
