Question

Ok guys i know i might sound stupid but can summon explain what tuner and syncro monster are? And spirit monster! and what about gemini?
The only reason why i asked is because i lost intrest in yu-gi-oh when 5D's pretty much came for a 3rd season or whatever, and I completely been in the dark about Yu-gi-oh. im still stuck with the original Yu-gi-oh series you know the first seasons up until battle city. But anyway if anyone could explain these to me that would be great thanks!

The main thing you need is to understand what a Synchro monster and a Synchro Summon is.

Synchro monsters are shown by being a white colored card and having "synchro" in their type. They belong in the Extra Deck and have their own mechanic as to how to summon.

In order to Summon a Synchro monster, in most cases you must have exactly 1 Tuner monster, which have "Tuner" in their type instead of effect, and 1 or more Non-Tuner monsters on the field. You select which Synchro in your Extra deck that you wish to summon, then send the 1 tuner and as many non-Tuners as you want so that their levels added together equal EXACTLY the level of the Synchro.

For example, let's say you have a lvl 8 Synchro monster in your Extra Deck, and 1 lvl 4 Tuner, 1 level 4 non-tuner, and 2 level 2 non-tuners. You can summon the Synchro by sending the lvl 4 tuner and lvl 4 non-tuner, or by sending the lvl 4 tuner and the level 2 non-tuners, but I cannot summon it by sending the tuner and 1 lvl 2 non-tuner because 4+2 =/= 8.

Do note, some Synchro monsters have specific requirements. Junk Warrior must have Junk Synchron as the non-tuner and cannot use another tuner (except Quickdraw Synchron but that's due to a monster effect). Also, Mist Wurm must use 2 or more non-tuners and cannot use 1 non-tuner. And Red Nova Dragon must have 2 tuners. Just read the card.

Tuner monsters are nothing more than a new subtype of monsters. They can have effects, they can be Normal Monsters, the only real difference is support-wise and they can bring out synchros.
