Althemia
Bottomless Enchantment At the very bottom of the chest of wonders, what amazing discoveries will YOU find in your packs of Bottomless Enchantment? This pack gives you the opportunity to strengthen the seas and raise all hell! (literally!) Sea of Songs! Bottomless Enchantment is a pack based around giving the user wonderful rewards for endeavoring to achieve such miracles, and what's perhaps one of the best presents of all? Why, nothing more than the gift of music! Expanding on the Deep Sea Diva band come the Deep Sea Mermaids, a group prepared to give the Symphony Djinns a run for their money! Deep Sea Syrensizer is the co-opening performer of the group with Deep Sea Diva, being able to get a back-up singer from the Deck to make an act that you won't forget any time soon! After her performance is over, she's even kind enough to escort one of your fishy friends back to Deck so they're ready to help another time, or escort rival band members off-stage! Of course, what happens when the opening's over? The main performance begins, with the 2 main singers being Deep Sea Merrowdy and Deep Sea Mermaestro! The two are known for caring for their fans and won't let anything happen to them! Deep Sea Merrowdy has a song known far and wide across the ocean, so much that sea species from all over flock to hear it! Of course, the downside to music is that it will not captivate all and may not work in getting you fans when you really need it. And the main singer, Deep Sea Mermaestro, is known for having the most powerful voice of all mermaid-kind! The more that show up to her concerts, the more dynamic her performance becomes! But what if the mermaid's show starts to go wrong? What possible thing would be able to save them on concert night? Fret not, as the Deep Sea Mermaids have a trick up their sleeve! Searenity! is the group's best selling song, one which nearly all fishkind know! This powerful song allows you to call out a Sea Serpent-Type Xyz from your Grave to back-up your performance! .Rai
Love the concept <3 and dat set preview text. hnnnnnggggg. Looks ridiculously quick actually, especially with Searenity. Merrowdy looks absolutely hilarious just for the fact that you can do some convoluted combo with a top of the deck returner and get out a massive Sea-Serpent boss. Of course, Deep Sea Diva makes everything better, as you planned. And some handy access to Armory Arm for those virtually indestructible Xyzs. Not a massive amount to comment on apart from concept so far, but it has a lot of potential to expand on. Lovely <
Anbu-of-Sand
To start off, I loved the way you proposed this Set, so +1 to you on that. Deep Sea Merrowdy Archetype specific (or I guess Type-Specific) is always promising. The card is pretty nice as a wall and can serve to protect your monsters from any destruction, which is always nice. It's main purpose encourages you to run a decent amount of monsters so you'll be able to swarm the field as fast as possible with this card and not risk putting that say, Monster Reborn to the bottom of your Deck. Also, was it intentional to make this a mandatory effect? If so, I'm not so sure how I feel about that, because then you'll only be able to protect your monster(s) for a turn or so at most. Otherwise I'll be waiting on that paragraph; hopefully it'll tell me why it is intentional to have it be mandatory if not a mistake. Deep Sea Mermaestro Just like Merrowdy serves as protection to your other monsters but instead of a wall acts as a growing beatstick. If the swarming with this Archetype is promising, you'll be able to get this to 2400 (2 XYZ Monsters with all their attachments) a good amount of the time, which is nice. 2000-2200 isn't too bad either. I feel like that this does the whole protection job better then Merrowdy does though, since it can use other Xyz Material Monsters instead of it's own, while as of now Merrowdy uses up it's Material in just a few turns. Searenity! Pretty simple, and pretty nice. Lets you bring out Merrowdy for some quick stalling or depending on your field, Mermaestro for a (fairly) strong beatstick out of nowhere. Quick-Play Spell feels like the perfect choice for this card as well since like I said, it could be used for some stalling or for setting up your field during your turn. Feels like it could be a possible dead draw early though, but on the other hand I'm still not aware of how fast these cards can bring out XYZ's though so far since all I've seen are there XYZ's, so I'll just have to leave it at that. Deep Sea Syrensizer My oh my how lovely this card is. It's practically a better (<- debatable) version of TGU for the Archetype. Instant Level 2 XYZ's and can be endlessly recycled to use it's effect again, and again, and again. Being able to recycle your opponent's Sea-Serpent although will be rare, will be helpful (or most likely be helpful) when in a Mirror Match with these cards (can screw over your opponent's Searenity!). Not sure how I'm feeling though how you're opponent can't respond to you getting out another Deep Sea (or another Level 2 Sea-Serpent) though. Deep Sea Archetype Overall I can't really say much about the Archetype so far, but the Archetype does look promising. They all synergize fairly well and with just that single Effect Monster shown so far I just know they're going to be able to get out XYZ's like crazy. What I really like about this Archetype though is it's flexibility. Not being so Archetype Specific (Searenity and Deep Sea Syrensizer), makes these cards splashable in Sea Serpent Decks (which could just be what Sea Serpents need to be put back on board outside of this Archetype). Being Low Level / ATK so far makes them searchable by a fair amount of things as well. I'll stick around to see how this Archetype grows; they have intrigued me (not just because of that wonderful introduction as well). I also can't wait to see the other 96 cards of this Set as well (of course, assuming it won't be just Deep Sea monsters )
