Ice archetype

A new WATER archetype that synergizes with the ice counter cards, and focusing on negating monster effects, something I feel will be very powerful in the current meta.

[spoiler=Sub-zero]Negate the effects of all face-up non-WATER monsters on the field.[/spoiler]

[spoiler=Snap freeze]When this card is activated, all face-up monsters on the field cannot declare attacks, and have their effects negated. Then each player can place one ice token (Aqua-type/WATER/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) on the field equal to the number of monsters they control.[/spoiler]

[spoiler=North Wind]Once per turn you can put one ice counter on each face-up monster.[/spoiler]

[spoiler=Icy wind]Once per turn when a monster is special summoned to your opponent's side of the field, you can negate the effects of that monster. That card's effects cannot be chained to this effect.[/spoiler]

[spoiler=Freeze solid]Negate the effect(s) of all monsters on your opponent's side of the field until your opponent's next end phase.[/spoiler]

[spoiler=Ice break]Select 1 monster on the field that's effect is negated. Inflict 2000 points of damage to its controller; that monster regains its effects, and they cannot be negated again until the end phase.[/spoiler]

[spoiler=Ice paladin]You can special summon this card (from your hand) by Tributing 1 WATER monster. Once per turn during your standby phase: you can target 1 face-up monster on the field; place an ice counter on that target. Face-up monsters with ice counters effects are negated.[/spoiler]

[spoiler=Ice ninja]Once per turn, during your opponent's main phase 1, you can negate the effect of one of your opponent's monsters until the end phase.[/spoiler]

[spoiler=General of ice breaker]This card can be special summoned (from your hand) when you control two or more WATER monsters. If a WATER monster on your side of the field battles an opponent's monster with ice counters on it, it gains 500 attack for each.[/spoiler]

[spoiler=Magustas, Atronach of ice]You can special summon this card (from your hand) by tributing three WATER monsters. Once per turn, you can destroy all monsters on your opponent's side of the field that have their effects negated. Negate the effect(s) of an opponent's monster that targets one WATER monster on your side of the field.

[spoiler=Ice warrior's instinct]Activate only when your opponent declares an attack on a face-up WATER monster you control. Place one ice counter on the attacking monster and it loses ATK equal to the number of ice counters on it x 500.[/spoiler]

The field card is broken. It doesn't appear broken at first glance but to have that good an effect it should have at least one drawback. I mean who needs the rest of the set the field alone makes water decks OP'ed.

Snap Freeze is balanced especially since the token part since it is fodder for the big dude.

North Wind: Balanced

Icy Winds: The monster should get its effect back at the end of the turn otherwise this is broken.

Freeze Solid: I think its broken lol. I don't know based on wording but it looks to me like monster that come to field after this card was activated get sealed too which is broken. If that is not the case then this card is balanced.

Ice Break: It being a quick play makes it an end phase cheap shot and I don't particularly like it because of that.

Ice Warrior: Balanced

Ice Paladin: Broke..Once again this outrageous effect with no drawback is a problem.

Ice Ninja: Balanced

General: Balanced

Magustas: Balanced

Instinct: Balanced (don't think its that good but its balanced)

Thanks, I had a feeling that some of the cards were broken, what with permanently stunning the effects.

For freeze-solid I have to reword, so it only effects the face-up monsters that they currently have. That was my intention.

Also I'll change ice break so it can only be activated during Main Phase 1 (of either player's turn)

I guess the archetype focuses on negating monster effects. I would suggest, however, to stick with the negation effects and locking down opponents. Most of these monsters can take care on their own. Like for example, Naturias. Weak but able to negate effects. Together overwhelm and shut down opponent.

Negating effects is ok but when your monsters are major beatsticks that kind of defeats the purpose of negating effects when you can just run them over.

Also, Sub-Zero defeats the purpose of the other cards when it can already negate everything just by being on the field

Thought it would be pertinent to bump this with all the new ice support coming out. I also fixed a bunch of cards.
