Joseph only 12, raised his Absol and spent all his time with it, while his parents were away. He then began to take up instruments to travel around playing Acoustic Guitar, the Flute, and the Violin. He would travel around Hoenn and defeat the Gym Leaders and play tunes for his Absol in between, earning her the name Melody.
