Patriotic deck (WARNING! VERY DANGEROUS!)

This deck is my first, so please, enjoy. I made this deck to counter all those that always seem to get me, I get a big advantage and then someone plays a miracle card to win the game, this deck is made to counter that, mainly against destroying by effect, in order to keep the opponent honest, but it is also very handy at swarming, I actually tested this deck against my IRL deck, and on the third turn, this deck inflicted the equivalent of 19,100 damage in one turn, not too shabby? So without further adieu, Presenting, The Patriotic deck! (WARNING: MIGHT BE LAST DECK YOU EVER SEE!)

Effect monsters

Patriotic General

Level 7 EARTH Warrior-type monster, 2300 ATK, 2000 DEF.

Lore: If you already control a face-up "Patriotic" monster, you can normal summon this card without a tribute. While this monster is on the field, all "Patriotic" monsters gain 500 ATK and DEF. Once per turn, if you control another "Patriotic" monster, you can negate the effect a spell, trap or monster effect that would remove a "Patriotic" monster from the field and remove from play all copies of that card in your opponent's deck and hand.

Opinion: a Critical card to have in the deck. Protecting your monsters and giving them a critical boost.

Patriotic Marines

Level 6 EARTH Warrior-type, 2500 ATK, 2000 DEF.


Lore: If your opponent controls a face-up monster with 2000 or more ATK, you can special summon this card from your hand. This monster cannot be removed from play. This monster gains 500 ATK when it attacks. If this monster destroys an opponent's monster by battle, this monster can attack again. if this monster is destroyed by battle, you can special summon 1 "Patriotic" monster from your hand or deck. If this monster is destroyed by a card effect, you can special summon 2 "Patriotic" monsters from your deck.

Opinion: VERY good against cards like BLS, Chaos sorcerer, Caius, and chaos decks, another CRITICAL card.

Patriotic Militia

Level 3 EARTH Warrior-type Tuner monster, 1600 ATK, 900 DEF.

Lore: If this monster is summoned while you control another "Patriotic" monster, you can special summon 1 "Patriotic" monster from your deck or bring one spell or trap card from your deck to your hand.

Opinion: One of the unsung heroes of this deck, it can bring some of the critical cards you need to your hand, or even bring them out on the field so you can sync or go for game.

Patriotic Minuteman

Level 3 EARTH Warrior-type monster, 1600 ATK, 900 DEF.

Lore: If your opponent controls a monster and you control no monsters, you can special summon this monster from your hand. When this monster is special summoned, you can special summon up to two "Patriotic Minuteman" from your deck, hand or graveyard.

Opinion: THIS IS A LETHAL CARD!!!...If you use it right, this is one of the cards that can be used to set up one of the amazing combos this deck is famous for. (Not yet, but soon) You can sync into any which way, or once I find out how to make xyz monsters on here, xyz rank 3 for about as much as you want.

Patriotic Rifleman

Level 4 EARTH Warrior-type, 1800 ATK, 2000 DEF.

Lore:If you control no monsters, you can special summon this card from your hand. If this monster attacks a defense position monster, destroy it immediately with this card's effect. If there is another "Patriotic" monster on the field, and this card is selected as an attack target, you can negate the attack, return this card to your hand, then special summon one "Patriotic" monster from your hand.

Opinion: A good card, although his negating attack ability would rarely be used, if used correctly (With a card like raregold armor) This card could kick-start some lethal combos, especcially if used with Patriotic Fighter Jet, (Mentioned Below)

Patriotic Seamen

Level 2 WATER Warrior-type Tuner monster, 500 ATK, 300 DEF,

Lore: When a "Patriotic" monster is special summoned, you can special summon this card from your hand, when a "Patriotic" monster is special summoned, you can either increase it's level by 1 or increase it's ATK by 300.

Opinion: This card can be used to set up an xyz or a synchro summon (Once I find out how to get xyz) but it's ATK boost can also help in pivotal situations.

Patriotic Citizens

Level 1 EARTH Warrior-type Tuner, 500 ATK, 1800 DEF.

Lore: When this monster is summoned, you can special summon 1 "Patriotic" monster from your deck or hand. If this card leaves the field, you can special summon one "Patriotic Citizens" from your deck.

Opinion: Almost a combination of Reborn Tengu and Marauding Captain in tuner form, If the people are attempted to be removed, they will remind the government, and their opponents why it's a government "By the people, for the people." But on a strictly gameplay standpoint, this is one of the nastiest tuners in the game, being essentially it's own synchro summon package, and after it's done...it does it all over again!

Patriotic Artillery Crew.

Level 4 EARTH Warrior-type, 1800 ATK, 500 DEF.

Lore: If you control another "Patriotic" Monster, this monster cannot be selected as an attack target, This monster can attack your opponent directly. If this monster inflicts battle damage to your opponent, you can destroy one card on the field.

Opinion: This monster is a lethal tool of mass destruction, an easy way to get rid of your opponent's REALLY big monsters and inflict a good amount of damage along the way.

Patriotic Fighter Jet

Level 5 WIND Machine-type, 2000 ATK, 500 DEF

Lore: If a face-up "Patriotic" Monster inflicts damage to your opponent, you can special summon this monster in attack mode. While this card is face-up on the field, you can synchro summon "Patriotic" monsters during your opponent's main phase 1 and Battle phase.

Opinion: This can be used like an Urgent Tuning, but also can be a critical card if your opponent is looking to destroy your tuners, or other monsters necessary for a synchro summon.

Patriotic Congress

Field spell card

Lore: Once per turn, you can pay 500 life points to special summon one "Patriotic: monster from your hand or graveyard. If you control a face-up "Patriotic" monster, new field spells cannot be activated, and this card cannot be destroyed by card effects.

Opinion: This is a very important field spell, if you control a "Patriotic" monster, other field spells can't be activated, this can prevent your opponent from playing their critical field spells like Xyz territory, black garden and...fusion gate. Also they will not be able to destroy it unless they get rid of every single "Patriotic" monster first.

Patriotic Recruiting call

Continuous Trap card.

Lore: Once per turn, you can special summon one "Patriotic" monster from your hand, bring one "Patriotic" Monster from your deck to your hand, and return one "Patriotic" monster from your graveyard to your deck.

Opinion: a great way to recycle your monsters should you need to do so, that's one of the weaknesses of this deck, they use cards and use them fast, this card is good to prevent from decking out.

Patriotic Remembrance

Quick-play spell card

Lore: You can activate this card when a "Patriotic" monster is destroyed by battle or by a card effect. Special summon a monster with the same name from your deck or hand.

Opinion: This card is if your good cards are somehow destroyed, this card laughs in your opponent's face and brings out another one.

Manifest Destiny

Normal spell card

Lore: All "Patriotic" monsters gain 1000 ATK until the end phase and inflict piercing damage to your opponent.

Opinion: This is THE finishing card. Your opponent will not be able to resist your assault.

Indivisible

Normal Trap card

Lore: Activate only if your opponent controls one or more "Patriotic" monsters. Add all "Patriotic" monsters your opponent controls to your hand and if you do not own them, treat them as if you did.

Opinion: This is for all those pesky mind-control decks and for mirror matches. This card prevents them from using your cards for anything nefarious.

Patriotic Battleship

Level 6 WATER Machine-type Synchro monster, 2200 ATK, 1500 DEF.

Lore: One "Patriotic" tuner + One or more "Patriotic" non-tuner monsters.
Once per turn, you can inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the ATK of every "Patriotic" monster on the field. This monster cannot attack during the turn you activate this effect.

Opinion: This is my response to a burn deck... what is the solution to a burn deck? COUNTER-BURN! This monster fills that role beautifully.

Patriotic Abrams

Level 8 EARTH Machine-type Synchro monster, 3000 ATK, 2500 DEF.

Lore: 1 "Patriotic" tuner + 1 or more "Patriotic" non-tuner monsters.
Your opponent cannot select another "Patriotic" monster as an attack target. Up to three times per turn, if this monster would be destroyed by battle or by a card effect, this monster is not destroyed. If this is the only "Patriotic" monster on the field, you can special summon 1 "Patriotic" monster from your deck, hand, or graveyard.

Opinion: This monster is your best option if you want a tank...litterally. It's EXCRUCIATINGLY difficult to destroy, and if it's the only "Patriotic" monster on the field, it can start the combos over again.

Patriotic Rangers

Level 7 EARTH Warrior-type Synchro monster, 2500 ATK, 1800 DEF.

Lore: 1 "Patriotic" tuner + 1 or more non-tuner "Patriotic" monsters.
This monster gains 500 ATK for every "patriotic" monster on the field. When this monster attacks an opponent's defense position monster, inflict piercing damage to your opponent. If this monster is destroyed by battle, special summon 2 "Patriotic" monsters from your hand, deck, or graveyard. If this monster is destroyed by a card effect, destroy all monsters on your opponent's field.

Opinion: THIS MONSTER IS A BEAST! Very few monsters can overcome it if played right. And it punishes your opponent dearly if it's destroyed. This monster is very hard to beat and it spells doom for your opponent..."RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!!"

Patriotic Navy SEALS

Level 9 WATER Warrior-type synchro monster, 3300 ATK, 2500 DEF.

Lore: 1 "Patriotic" tuner + 1 or more non-tuner "Patriotic" monsters.
When this monster is Synchro Summoned, you can destroy cards on the field equal to the number of "Patriotic" monsters on the field. If this card would be destroyed by a card effect, you can return this card to the extra deck to negate that effect and destroy it. If this card is destroyed by battle, you can special summon 2 "Patriotic" monsters from your hand, deck, or graveyard.

Opinion: This card is near invincible, and can take out your opponent's high-priority targets with ease. Also, this card can be returned to the extra deck to negate any effect that would destroy this card. Along with this cards high ATK, When this card is summoned, if your opponent survives, it will be very difficult to come back from an assault by this monster.

xyz Monsters

Number 176: Patriotic Cavalry Force

Rank 3 EARTH Warrior-type Xyz monster

3 level 3 "Patriotic" monsters.
Once per turn, you can detach one Xyz material from this card to special summon two "Patriotic" monsters from your hand, deck, or graveyard. When this monster is removed from the field, you can special summon one "Patriotic" Synchro monster from your extra deck. (This summon is treated as a Synchro Summon).

The big boss monster.

Patriotic Spirit

Level 12 LIGHT Warrior-type monster, ? ATK, ? DEF.

Lore: This card can only be special summoned while you control no cards and have 10 or more "Patriotic" monsters in your graveyard. This monster's summon and effects cannot be negated. When this card is summoned, special summon as many "Patriotic" monsters as you can from your hand and graveyard. This monster's ATK and DEF is equal to the combined level of all "Patriotic" monsters on the field, and in your graveyard x 300.

Opinion: Even when all looks hopeless, the Spirit of freedom can come and change everything. This monster can get to an INSANE amount of ATK points. to put it in perspective, ONE level 8 monster can bring this monster's ATK to 2400, imagine all those monsters in your graveyard increasing this monster's ATK to ludicrous levels!

my friend would like to leave a comment so here it is... "i am fairly impressed with this set, its well balanced, not to cheap and not to weak, it can fight off and come out of most bad situations, only issue is the big boss monster, because "montage drogon" and"The calculator" who have basically the same effect, montage and calculator can pull off a excellent OTK under correct Conditions, can pull an easy OTK no matter what situations you are in. overall beautiful set. i do love the use of tuner, and synchro monsters, i think these would deffintaly help me fight off my friend who constantly SPAMS XYZ's [which i do with synchro's(just not as bad) such as stardust dragon] just you and my friend i am making my own type/arche type deck, when they are all finished i would like to see all 3 decks going against each other."

man every time i read over these cards its awsome, each time i am repeatedly impressed.

Thanks for the comment, Actually, Patriotic Spirit is going to be getting a little help soon from a number monster I'm adding to the deck, also, Patriotic Spirit also has a little bit of Sephylon the ultimate time lord (which was actually part of the inspiration for it's summoning ability) also, if you have control no cards and have 10 or more "Patriotic" monsters in the grave....you're either in big trouble, or you're doing it wrong. I'll try to get that card and the rest of the pictures for the cards on here soon.

Thanks, Also, about Patriotic Spirit. I would say it's a little better than the other two monsters your friend mentioned because it can be normal summoned, but it also gains ATK for the level of every "Patriotic" monster in your graveyard. And thanks for the compliment on the Xyz monster, don't worry...a Chaos version of that monster WILL be added soon. Its effect is scary to no bloody end. Also, about the realistic pictures, I have practically NO talent in paint or Photoshop. I can unfortunately turn these great photos/paintings into something that looks like it was made by Pablo Picasso. If you want to give cartooning these a shot, go ahead, because I have virtually NO artistic talent. I only made one picture that was even remotely good...and that was a floating old guy's head. I'll have Number C176 up soon after I get a good picture to base it off of.

These cards are completely ridiculous...
[spoiler='How ridiculous are they?']
[b]Patriotic General[/b] esentially stops anything from hurting any of your monsters.
[b]Patriotic Marines[/b] is an easy Black Luster Soldier copy.
[b]Patriotic Militia[/b] is one of the most overpowered cards I've [i]ever[/i] seen. It allows you to bring almost [i]any card at all[/i] from your deck with no cost.
[b]Patriotic Minuteman[/b] gives you an instant 3 monsters if it's special summoned by any means; I don't need to tell you why this is crazy.
[b]Patriotic Rifleman[/b] actually is ok, if just a little complex.
[b]Patriotic Seaman [/b]is likewise ok.
[b]Patriotic Citizens[/b] can give you [b]4[/b] monsters if you care to use its effect to summon another one immediately, but even if you don't it can summon any other one of these overpowered monsters and replace it immediately if it happens to leave for any reason.
[b]Patriotic Artillery Crew[/b] is either too strong or has too strong of an after-effect, but even with both it's not as good as most other ones here.
[b]Patriotic Fighter Jet[/b] presses your advantage too much by allowing you to counter things when it isn't even your turn, and also by adding 2000 damage onto your Battle Phase.
[b]Patriotic Congress[/b] is nearly impossible to get rid of and gives the deck way too many options when it's already full of them.
[b]Patriotic Recruiting Call [/b]is ok if it only does [i]one[/i] of those things a turn.
[b]Patriotic Rememberence[/b] [i]would[/i] be ok if so many of your monsters didn't activate effects when Special Summoned.
[b]Indivisible[/b] will never be used. It's pointless.
[b]Patriotic Battleship [/b]is [i]way[/i] too strong. Check out Dark Strike Fighter. He's banned for a reason, and weaker than this card.
[b]Patriotic Abrams[/b] does not need that last line. He's enough of a hassle already.
[b]Patriotic Rangers [/b]will have tons of ATK. The other effects just add to an already overly powerful monster.
[b]Patriotic Navy SEALS[/b] will crush everything your opponent has. There's no need for its other effects.
[b]Number 176[/b] is downright stupid. You can summon it instantly in this deck and it lets you continue swarming. That last effect is unecessary, because you'll probably have won when you summon it. By the way, it should be [b]1776[/b], duh.
[b]Not even going to mention Patriotic Spirit.[/b][/spoiler]

Some of these ATK scores are unrealistic. Trained as well as they are, how exactly are Navy SEALS and Army Rangers as strong as an [b]M1[/b] [b]TANK[/b]?

These cards show very little knowledge of the game and offer such quick, costless advantage as to be a parody. I like America too man, but come on. You say you made these cards to counteract the meta, but newflash for you: if these cards were released, they would be the only deck worth playing. You can't fix the meta by piling on more thoughtless cards.
Interesting concept - bad, bad execution.

Summon Patriotic General and Patriotic Marines.

Your field is now:
Citizens - 176 - General - Marines
General grants +500 ATK to all, Marines gain 500 extra while attacking

1000 + 3100 + 3500 + 2800 = [b]10400 damage.[/b]

Here's an even better combo; it allows you to win on the very first move of the game:
Summon Patriotic Citizens
Special Summon General
Synchro Summon Abrams
Special Summons Militia
Militia Summons Militia
Militia Summons Militia
Militia adds Manifest Destiny to hand
Overlay for 176
Summon General and Militia from your Graveyard
Militia Summons Minuteman
Synchro Summon Battleship

Your field is now:
Abrams - 176 - General - Battleship
Manifest Destiny and General grant +1500 ATK to all.

4500 + 4100 + 3800 + 3700 = [b]8050 damage.[/b]

The only conditions for this combo are that you must have Citizens and cannot have Militia in your hand.

You know what? That was actually kind of fun. I'm giving you a like for the nice duel puzzle.

Yeah, admittedly, This was my first deck, and I did make it on a bet, I realize now that it is EXTREMELY overpowered (Like, so much so that even after NERFING they still swarm the field with reckless abandon and wipe out everything in their path) I have created several other decks on YugiCo, but that appears to be dying out, so I am returning here. The only problem so far I am having is when I tried to post my new deck (One based off of Shadow of the Colossus) it said You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community.

Any Solutions?

I gotta say, I like the archetype... I do see where you're concerned about it being way too overpowered however. If you wanted, I could try to help you with nerfing this deck, or if you want, re-do it entirely.

 

A couple of things that stood out to me... I noticed our Synchro Monsters were based on modern military, while the Main Deck monsters were based off of the Revolutionary Army and all. Perhaps PAtriotic Fighter Jet could be re-tooled as a Synchro Monster, to keep teh theme?
Secondly, when I saw PAtriotic Citizens, the first thought that came to mind was, "BROKEN!!!!". The second was, "Perhaps... perhaps this card cannot be Normal Summoned, or it can only be Special Summoned by itself. Hey, maybe it can be limited to "Patriotic" Synchro Monsters only? Or the monster it Special Summons can't be used for a Synchro that turn?"

...Yeah, I'm confident that I could help you re-tool this into a more balanced deck if you wished. If you don't well, I simply wish you luck with your future decks.

I would be more than happy for the help, I do want to keep the main theme of this deck, but I would be MORE than happy to nerf this thing (When I test-dueled against it the first time, I was able to inflict 19000 points of damage on the third turn.) I would be more than happy to hear your recommendations. Oh, by the way, nice catch on the themes, you're the first one to notice.
