Megaman Battle Network Themed Cards

Hey everyone, my name is Alpha, and I've been creating Megaman Battle Network themed Yugioh cards lately. I'm hoping that about a week from now, I can print out these cards, and create a functioning deck based around these cards. My plan is to make it balanced, but definitely make it better than the current cards that are out now. The reason for this is that I'm actually hoping to use this deck competively around my friends for the upcomming years.

About the "Image Help" part of the topic, I do not own photoshop, and my computer is too weak to run it. I need some kind of low usage image editing program to erase the "white" space from the images so I can put proper backgrounds on each one. Does anyone know of a website that does this, or a low usage image editor that I can use to get the job done? I would greately appreciate it if someone could help me out here. =)

In other words, how can I make this card, with the background, without having the white space among the edges of the character?

Anwyays, without further stalling, here are the cards I've been working on.

If you use a Windows computer, Paint.NET is a free program. A good number of the cards in my thread have art edited with this program, especially the Megaman.EXE cameos. GIMP is another free image editor, though I've heard that it's difficult to use, and I think there are versions for Mac in addition to Windows and Linux.

...You didn't ask for OCG fixes, so I can't help you with that because of this forum's rules.

Card-by-card analysis:
Seems okay for a tuner, and fits with the theme you've made.

Seems... underwhelming. It's a Lv.4 Tuner that can only be Special Summoned when your Life Points are 4000 or less, and all you get is a 2500 beatstick that has its name treated as "Navi Megaman.EXE'. ATK could be at least 3000, or have a more devastating effect coupled with more difficult Summoning conditions, because Hub had been show in-game to be more powerful than any other character in the series (as far as I remember).

Eh... Effect seems either too weak or too powerful, not sure which. Everything else seems okay, though LIGHT Attribute would have been interesting.

Powerful, seems balanced. The inspiration may be a bit off, though.

The Beast-Outs seem weak. Their ATK is low, and their effects aren't too powerful or flavorful. The Beast Crosses have no way (as of this post) to be Summoned, and their effects are way overpowered. "Elec Beast Gregar" is a once-per-turn version of "The Forced Sentry" on legs that doesn't trigger discard effects. "The Forced Sentry" and a weaker version, "Trap Dustshoot" are banned. "Aqua Beast Falzar" also reveals 'hidden' information, and can let you play around an opponent's Traps more easily.

A "Spell Canceller" with more ATK? Seems decent, if not representative of Alpha.

"Jack In!" seems balanced, mostly because the targets for it aren't too powerful. "Full Cust" is also pretty balanced for that reason. "Fire Tower" is somewhat balanced, though could be a bit weak. "Recover 300" has few good targets, though making it unsearchable balances it well when more "Navi" cards are made. "Barrier" is decent.
Also, if you want your images to not be "squished", I'd look into Magic Set Editor. It has templates for Yugioh and you can crop the images for card art to maintain aspect ratio.

First off, thank you for the program recommendation, I will install it later today and start working with that.

When you say "OCG fixes", do you mean my wording of the effects on my cards? I could definitely use some help with that, although I think I'm doing a pretty good job so far with it. If there are any immediate problems, feel free to critique them.

I'll definitely work on changing him to make him better, I thought he would be really good since my deck works with Syncho Summoning means that getting additional "Megaman.exe" monsters is really important. Just like how Elemental Hero Neos Alias is really important in Neos themed decks. Also for the record, I believe Double Beast Out Megaman.exe, or Bass Cross Megaman were the most powerful versions of Megaman out there.

I was thinking of the light attribute, but he is a member of the Nebula, which is all about the Dark chips, and spreading Darkness. In terms of his attacks being lasers, he does seem more suited to being the Light element though. The irony is amazing. In regards to his effect, maybe it is a little too cheap. I wanted him to be really good since he is one of my favorite navi's of all time.

I have 10 of these synchro's made so far, the Ground Cross Falzar one (Not showed) can attack directly with 2900 attack, and is immune to spell targetting cards. I'm trying to figure out what is a good effect for a card that has to go through two synchro summones to get to. I'm also working on making the card to be synchroed with to summon Aqua Cross Falzar, and others appropriate.

Can't argue there, I was really trying to think what a good effect for Alpha.exe to have. I'll think more about it.

Thanks, I'll look into that too.

OCG is Official Card Grammar, and is how card effects are written to look the most like official cards. Konami's introduction of the "Problem-Solving Card Text" makes a lot of thinks more confusing for card makers though, as it is vastly different from how they had written effects in the past.

In combining the anime and games, I believe the most powerful forms of Rockman.EXE have been:
Bug Style Rockman.EXE ([strike]nearly[/strike] deleted the Internet after absorbing Gospel)
Hub Style/Hub Rockman.EXE (Used to defeat DreamVirus at FullSynchro, annihilated an ancient evil (Nebula Grey) with a hand wave)
ForteCross Rockman.EXE (Defeated Nebula Grey/Regal in the anime with more difficulty than Hub)
Double Beast Out Rockman.EXE (allegedly invincible, haven't really seen the episodes with, though was cross-fused at the time)

That being said, it's hard to compare Hub with the anime power ups, because Double Beast Out doesn't exist in the games and Bug Style isn't that great in MMBN2-3, while Hub doesn't exist in the anime.

Effects with similar power level as Shooting Star Dragon or Red Nova Dragon are where double-Synchro cards should be. Those cards are powerful, but they're not based on or as powerful as banned cards or reveal information about your opponent's field that should remain private.
