Just Crouton
Wanted to make a bad guy archetype. The idea for the boss monster came from an episode of Power Rangers were the main villain, an evil computer program, hacked their biofields and deleted them and their zords. They're supposed to be spellcasters warped by dark powers yadayadayada. I got bored with Level 4-, and wanted to make Level 8s that hit the field easily. At 2000 ATK, they can't swing over things that matter. Once per turn: You can reveal 1 card in your opponent's hand; if that card is a Monster Card, this card gains ATK equal to the revealed card's until the End Phase. During the End Phase, if this card was sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can add 1 "Dominus" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Dominus Viridi Oculos". Dominus Crinis Goni If your opponent controls a monster: You can Normal Summon this card without Tributing. If a "Dominus" monster attacks a Defense Position monster: Destroy that monster before damage calculation. During the End Phase, if this card was sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can add 1 "Dominus" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Dominus Crinis Goni". Dominus Mortuus Regina If your opponent controls a monster: You can Normal Summon this card without Tributing. If this card is Normal Summoned: You can target 1 "Dominus" monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target in face-up Defense Position. During the End Phase, if this card was sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can add 1 "Dominus" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Dominus Mortuus Regina". Dominus Dux Gladio If your opponent controls a monster: You can Normal Summon this card without Tributing. Once per turn, during your Main Phase, if you control another face-up "Dominus" monster: This card can attack twice during this turn's Battle Phase. If you do, other monsters you control cannot attack this turn. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing Battle Damage to your opponent. During the End Phase, if this card was sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can add 1 "Dominus" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Dominus Dux Gladio". Dominus ex Machina 3 Level 8 Monsters Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to activate one of these effects. ● Target 1 Xyz Monster your opponent controls; Special Summon all Xyz Materials attached to that card to your side of the field. ● Look at your opponent's Extra Deck, and choose up to 3 cards from it; send them to the Graveyard. ● Target 1 monster in either Graveyard that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck; equip that target to this card. This card gains ATK equal to half the ATK of the monster equipped by this effect. Vindictam Tenebris During the End Phase of a turn a "Dominus" monster you control was destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or card effect) and sent to the Graveyard: Special Summon as many of your monsters destroyed this turn as possible in face-up Defense Position, and take 800 damage for each monster Special Summoned this way. Love of Ghibli
The archetype seemed pretty balanced until you get to Machina (name is cool lol). A deck dedicated to getting level 8s out easily cannot have such an overpowered boss. All of his effects should be toned down imo.
SunKistRebelution
Yeah Machina is broken... I really liked 'em up until that one.
