UPDATED : So here's my newest archetype..the shadowpit monsters. based on how many darks you control, these guys could have some devastating effects. and they could interfere with your opponent if played correctly! :) hope you like and opinions and comments pleeease :D thanks!

"when the Gates to the Dark World were opened, no one expected this to follow...terrible creatures that thrive on the dark and extinguish anything in their path. From the Darkest reaches of the universe..the shadowpit has been opened, and its denizens are free to ravage anything they so choose. Be afraid..be very afraid indeed..."

Well the set is definitely better than the master support set from before. So great job with that. I can't see how any card doesn't fit theme since theme at least to me appears to be "If you have a dark monster somewhere we do________." It is very reminiscent of the the actual DARK archetype that was basically dark versions of existing cards (Dark: Horus, Freed, Grepher, Pheonix, Armed Dragon, Simorgh etc.) For those cards had effects that relied on how many Dark Monsters you had in your graveyard. Which might work well with these cards here.

Individually I do have a couple of problems:

Mask: Seriously what reason would have for using this other than to stop your opponent from doing some random like synchroing for a Naturia monster. It seems frivolous but I guess every set has to have at least on frivolous card lol.

Monarch: Ummm this OP he is 2k with an effect that makes everything around him weaker (I guess the Number 2 Espada will be represented in more ways than one lol) and that is too much his attack should be lower or his level be higher (you know monarchs tend to be level 5's and 6's anyway). Then when you kill him with a card effect (which is how you pretty much have to do it) you get to search for something else. Yeah that is overpowered.

Apocalypse: Its a dark super mega trish!Do not be confused, there are plenty of dark tuners and non tuner Dark monsters that combined would summon him so he isn't hard. His effect has no cost it literally is a repeating 3400 beatstick dark hole walking around. That condition that there must me a Dark monster on the field is not even a hindrance its an opportunity.I mean free sangan search or use the monarch since broke cards love to work together. I would suggest his attack drop and at least put in a heavy cost somewhere. I mean Demise kin of Armageddon made you pay 2000 lifepoints at least.

Horror: I personally think there should be a level cap on the monsters you can special summon other wise you could get back some pretty nasty things for free.

Not that many cards with a problem in my opinion and I must say you have an incredible talent for finding pictures I think its time for me to read some of these tutorials lol

- Shadowpit Mask, meet Scroll of Bewitchment. (Given that there is no strong correlation between any two Shadowpit card, I think I am justified in deeming this card trash.)
- Instant Rank 3 Xyz that isn't Tour Guide is good, but you can remove the requirement to have another face-up DARK you control. Also, as an aid to OCG: 'When this card is Normal or Flip Summoned: target 1 'Shadowpit Beast' in your hand or Graveyard; Special Summon it.
- ... and Shadowpit Bonder is yet another underpowered Fiend Tuner. Sigh.
- Weird name (whoever names anybody Mortimer?) + effect whose emphasis on controlling 2 other DARK monsters for make it less effective than XX-Saber Hyunlei or Mobius the Frost Monarch = sigh, again.
- Who would waste their precious time in wasting a card on Shadowpit Monarch, instead of running it over? Its stats are low for its stat-shaving effect to have any sort of relevance, and having the RotA-like effect activate only when destroyed by a card effect just makes it worse in my eyes.
- 'Once per turn: Tribute 1 other DARK monster that you control; target 1 monster that your opponent controls and take control of it. The targeted monster cannot attack or be used as Synchro Material for a Synchro Summon.' Decent enough, but you should tidy up your CG.
- Devourer's Level is low for its stats, but again the requirement to control DARKs for its effect to take effect makes it inferior to already existing cards. If it needs to be inferior to Zaborg the Thunder Monarch and Tribe-Infecting Virus, then at least make its mill-for-destruction effect happen more than once a turn.
- A request for Shadowpit Mistmaster: 'You can only control 1 'Shadowpit Mistmaster'.'
- Highborn is good (not to mention an instant Rank 7 Xyz), but you can do better by removing the last sentence.
- Swordmaster fattens itself with each DARK on the field including itself. Decent if uninspired enough.
- Necrowalker is the DARK version of Rescue Cat, and almost as abusable; the shift to the Graveyard instead of the Deck does nothing in its favor at all.
- Binder is about as effective as Insect Barrier, really, except that it's a monster and thus must be Normal Summoned, making it even worse than Insect Barrier in the task of holding the tide back.
- Why not have Apocalypse destroy all monsters regardless of Attribute? The compulsion to turn even your opponent's monsters DARK is vastly unnecessary to me.
- My suggestion for Horror (as it cannot exist on that current state): 'Once per turn, during either player's turn: detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; target 1 Level 4 or lower DARK monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it. Destroy the targeted monster at the End Phase.' The effect as it stands needs so much and returns so little.
- Lich is fine; just alter its stats to 2000/2000.
- How do you propose to destroy a DARK monster in your opponent's Graveyard, and how does that help your archetype (if this be one)?
- Shadow's Invitation is effectively Share the Pain, only thematic. Sigh.
