Who doesn't love a good Zombie? [3/??]

Working on a few zombie type cards that should be able to sustain their own little archetype. Not too many cards, but enough to fit nicely into a neat deck.
This archetype is based around grave dumping and banishing in order to get the boss card (Oculus) onto the field quickly. I went for a classic approach that wasn't based on Xyzs/Synchros so much as powerful effect monsters.
I'll make sure I upload more soon so you get a better feel for the synergy here.

You can Special Summon this card from your hand or Graveyard by Banishing 2 Zombie Type monsters in your Graveyard. This card gains 700 ATK for each Zombie Type monster in your Graveyard. Once per turn, during either player's turn; you can Banish 1 Zombie Type monster in your Graveyard to negate the Special Summon of a monster and destroy it.

Once per turn, you can discard one card from your hand; send 1 Zombie Type monster from your Deck to the Graveyard.

You may tribute this card on your side of the field to add one Zombie Type monster from your deck to your hand.
You should specify where you can summon Oculus from (Hand, Deck, Graveyard, banished zone)and I think his special summon negation should be once per turn.
Overlooked that, will change. As for the negation, I think I'll keep it; as Oculus will lose 700 ATK+ from negation. I think that is a pretty hefty sum and losing any more than that per turn probably wont be very practical in certain situations, so isn't really an issue IMO.

When a monster can negate special summons you really stop caring about his attack points. It becomes how long can he do it. You monster turns every zombie in your graveyard into a NEGATION bullet not a destruction bullet NEGATION which really puts you somewhere in Laggia territory. The format we are is about special summoning, swarm, and control. Your monster just says no to all of that, and for what 700 ATK drop that doesn't matter if he nothing is allowed to hit the field and swing at him. A less important point to bring up is that you could potentially just set up your own return from different dimension end game zombie scenario all because of this one monster. Yeah he should be once per turn with that negation thing.

Hmm... I see your point; although the idea was to negate regular format play somewhat, as this archetype is intended to give regular effect monsters a fighting chance against some of the tougher meta cards currently in use. I'll amend the card. Thanks for the input.

- If I read correctly, an earlier version of Oculus allowed it to negate Special Summons by banishing a Zombie from the user's Graveyard multiple times a turn, which could be problematic if Oculus is summoned early with even 4 or 5 Zombies in the Graveyard. You did good by limiting it to once per turn (though you must amend Oculus once more to have its effect activate once per turn, during either player's turn).
- Strider's decent, but why not make it a Level 4 for more Xyz goodness with Zombie Master?
- The sheer wealth of Zombie revival (Book of Life, Zombie Master, Mezuki, Il Blud) makes Hound an incredible and reusable combo piece, especially in Skull Servants.

You're absolutely right about the previous effect, and I had totally forgotten to add the part about either player's turn. I might up Strider's attack a little and make him a level 4; the basic idea behind him was to act as a Zombie only Foolish Burial, which pays well for this deck. Thanks for commenting!
