This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card can only be Normal Summoned or Set by Releasing 2 Rock-type monsters you control. Decrease the ATK of this card by it's DEF. If this card would be destroyed by a card effect or is targeted by a card effect: decrease this card's DEF by 1000; until the end phase, it is unaffected by that card.

Probably needs some OCG fixing...

Here is the ocg fix.

"This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card can only be Normal Summoned or Set by Tributing 2 Rock-Type monsters. Decrease the ATK of this card by it's DEF. If this card would be destroyed or targeted by a card effect: decrease this card's DEF by 1000: Negate the effect."

I would suggest that you lower the ATK and DEF of this card to 4000 as a 2 tribute monster (even with the specific requirements) with 5000 attack and defense is too much.

Also, Its protection effect is a bit too good. It should either protect against destruction or being targeted. Not both.

1. Isn't the OCG term for "tribute" actually "release"?

2. It's protection effect isn't designed to negate the card effect. It is supposed to make him immune to it.

I think the actual OCG would be:

This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card can only be Normal Summoned or Set by Releasing 2 Rock-Type monsters. Decrease the ATK of this card by it's DEF. If this card would be destroyed or targeted by a card effect: decrease this card's DEF by 1000; until the end phase, it is unaffected by that card.

Yeah, I added an "Until the end phas" clause; or else it would bring in some confusion to continuous effects.

I'll decrease the ATK and DEF to 4000

It should either protect against destruction or being targeted. Not both.

It would be too weak; it already has a drawback of not being able to be Special Summoned (Least Divines could be Special Summoned; with the exception of Ra) and requiring type specific tributes. It is also level 9 (largely unsupported level) and EARTH (which doesn't have the best support).

Yeah, i forgot about the release part.

And the reason I wrote negate is because not one, not one single card has effects that make it unaffected in response to a card.

Not being able to be special summoned isn't a large drawback due to that only Light and Darkness Dragon, Obelisk the Tormentor and Vennominaga the Snake Deity has similar protection to this (LAD's protection is far worse and both Vennominaga and Obelisk is harder to summon). This thing is basically is an Obelisk with Hardened Armed Dragon for 4 card effects. Afterwards which it becomes a 5000 beatstick (though you can reset it with Forbidden Chalice).

About its stats. There are only 5 monsters in the entire game with 5000 base ATK, so if you apply Skill drain to it...

And its defense is also quite high still for the summoning requirement. The only two monsters which are perhaps easier to summon with equal or higher DEF is Darkness Neosphere and Malific Truth Dragon.

Its base ATK and DEF have been switched to 4000, and it is heavily restricted. To start, it can't be Special Summoned and it requires specific types for it work, which makes it less versatile than Obelisk of LaDD.

Also, while the effect is more potent than Obelisk's; it isn't permanent and it only slowly turns into a beatstick as it loses it's value as a stall. It also has no protection against battle, so if anyone decides to use 2 card on it and force a 2000/2000 scenario on it; it'll be pretty easy to beat.
