Sonic Wolf
EDITED! EDIT: Please tell me what you think. I would like to know. Heres my own Wolf Deck. I made it to go up against a friend who has strong & deadly cards & for my own personal use. Any comments wanted & if I need to edit something tell me here. I'll change it & replace the image. These are all my work except the pictures. All pics except a very few are by someone else & theres too many places & I've sadly forgot them all. All credit goes to appropriate people. If for any reason some one wants me to take it off I'll edit this post to delete it or make the picture white so no hard feelings k! Newest cards are Wolf's Moon, if anyone is wondering. Sorry for the random picture order but I'll try sometime to fix it so only Normal Monsters 1st then Effect, Fusion (none in but still), Ritual, Syncro, Spell, Trap will show. Deck (so far) If theres something needed to be changed tell me your opinions & I may change it. .:Incognito:.
Wolf Summoning, is really overpowered. You can use it, then go for an XYZ, and even if you couldn't, it's just too powerful and is a +2 to your field.
krypt12
okay.... Im gonna try to help ya out here. MANY of these cards either have some OCG/Grammatical errors or are OP'd in some way. -cracks knuckles- Down to the cards themselves. I too, as many others are, am a fan of wolves. They are simply awesome. Back to the point. I see how you are trying to go for power and field control but many of these cards need fixing. I'll start from the top. Wolf's Summoning: -has little to no restrictions. Maybe make the cost 1000 and give the effect of removing the monsters from play at the end of the turn or something. Wolf's Staff: Seems kinda random and has no additional effects for being a "Wolf" monster as not many cards here call for it. Wolf's Moon: -Spirit monsters have the effect of returning to the hand after being normal summoned of flipped face up (most do, that is); By halving the damage calculation... do you mean cutting the damage you take or cutting the opponent's monster? if its the second, this card is OP. Also, having a 1900 beater that cant be destroyed is waaaay too good. Try watering it down. Wolf's Meal: umm... Needs a once per turn restriction. Wolf's Forest: gaining 1000 ATK and DEF is too much. Especailly seeing how most of your wolves have around 1900 ATK... Wolf's Fangs: the Forest one is better than this Wolf to Dragon Transformation: There are no Dragons in your Deck. Its an interesting concept but pure wolves are better IMHO. Wolf Spirit: OMG I AM IN LOVE WITH THAT ARTWORK. But, Rituals need Ritual Spells. No if's, and's or but's about it. Make it an 8-star and state that the spells/traps are considered to have an ATK/DEF of 0. Also, if you wanna keep the non-destruction effect, give it a cost, like removing a "Wolf" from the grave each time it would be destoyed. Wolf's Release: i see nothing wrong here. Wolf of the Stars: i think Wolf's Release is better because its faster and most of your monsters boast high ATK power. Wolf of the Light: i see nothing wrong here Wolf of Darkness: Winged Beast... eww... Wolf Mask: This seems cool but i feel as though it should have more effects. Winged Wolf: Again, no Dragons in the Deck. White Gem Dragon: okay, a couple of things about this card, 1) Synchros belong in the extra deck along with fusions. 2) Synchros need Tuners and non-Tuners. 3) 5000/4000 for a 9-star is rediculously over-powered. 4) Doesn't fit your Wolf theme. Tsunami Wolf: wolf beater. Cool Tree's Life Force Absorb: waaaaay too strong. Maybe say that the player gains half. Stone Wolf: Either lower his ATK or lower his DEF 1800/1900 is too well-rounded. Err-- .... i dunno Spirit Wolf of the Forest: Look at Beastking Barbaros. Take off the effect of not being destroyed in battle. Sonic Wolf & Shadow Wolf: Raise the summoning cost or lower the ATK strength. Shadow Wolf should lower his stats by half to attack directly. Ninja Wolf: maybe change the destruction effect to attacking defense-position mosters or make is attribute or type-specific. Change the attacking twice portion to being a "once while face-up on the field" effect. Lone Wolf: There is already a card named Lone Wolf in Yu-Gi-Oh!. Its a trap. Also, making the base stats 3000 is too much, yeah i know you wanna beat down but 3k is too steep of a jump. Maybe say the monster gets an 5 or 600 increase if its the only Wolf on the field. Lion Wave: again, gaining 2k and nuking the field with no cost is OP'd. Blackrose needs to be synchro summoned, dark hole gets rid of ALL monsters, Demise needs to be ritual summoned and pays 2000.. See where im going with this? And if you merely have this in here as an OTK card, it should not be continuous. It also doesnt fit the Wolf theme and not all of your monsters are Beast-type. Many are Beast-Warrior. Light Hole: should not return to the hand. Little rule: If a synchro or a fusion monster were to return to the hand or deck, it would automatically go back to the Extra Deck. It wouldn't go into the main deck or your hand. Legendary Dragon's Aura: hmn.... out of theme but not bad... i hope Ice Wolf Mask: "freeze" isnt a term in yugioh. Maybe give it an Ancient Gear effect. They stop spells and traps from being activated when they attack. I like the concept of wolf masks. Ice Wolf: Look at Harpie Lady 3. Howl of the Wolf: Needs to specify where the Wolf is being summoned from. Flame: this guy has almost no downside. Losing ATK when attacked by a water monster isnt really restrictive... Look at Gladiator Beast Heraklinos. He Negates Spells and traps at the cost of a card from the hand but he requires 3 monsters to bring him out. One of which is specific. Fire Wolf Pup: a little weak but there is nothing wrong with it Female Wolf Ninja: 1900 beater. Nothing wrong here Demon Wolf: 1500/1000... meh.. Nothing wrong with it Snow Wolf Power: seems a little self destructive but it protects your wolf from battle... i dunno Space Hole: ..... ...... .... No. Tribal Wolf Warrior: Make it so he Tributes himself to activate his effect, otherwise its OP'd due to no restrictions on how many times you activate it and no cost to activate it. Snow Wolf Warrior: lower his stats. Normal monsters that are level 4 and lower either have high ATK/low DEF, low ATK/high DEF, or sit in the mid-range with balanced stats like 1600/1600 Wolf Warrior: Nothing wrong here. ~~~~ Maybe make some support for your vanilla (normal monster) wolves seeing as though you have a good number of them. Im not downing any of your cards, im simply trying to make them balanced hope i helped! I wanna see some more wolves from ya :b

I wanna see some more wolves from ya :b So what exactly do I need to change? Tell me & I'll Start fixing them. Also Thanks!
I hope I don't hurt your feelings, but Krypt told you exactly what was wrong with each card, and gave you some real-card references on to look at. Re-read their entire post, because I feel as though it gives you all of the answers of what's wrong and/or right in your cards. I myself was about to crack down and tell you what was up, but Krypt beat me to it. Krypt did use some YCM slang vocab that you might not be aware of, so I'll post a mini-description of each. I highly suggest re-reading their post, as they have gone through a lot of trouble to give you high-quality feedback. Descriptions: OP - This stands for "overpowered". As the word suggests, it simply means that a card is just too strong. Not enough drawbacks, etc. Beater/Beatstick - These are YCM-specific terms. Generally, it is means that a card is OP when compared to other cards of it's category/level/type. Typically a beater or beatstick is generally well-rounded, but due to a single statistic, usually level, it becomes OP. For example: A level 4 with 2.3k ATK/1.8k DEF. Not bad, but it would be more fair if it was a level 5 card or level 6 with effects. UP - The acronym for "underpowered". It means that a card isn't strong enough for it's level or downsides. EX: A level 4 card with 800 ATK/0 DEF and no effect. There are other acronyms and and terms that will be stated, but these are the three most common ones I believe. The truth is that about half of your Effect monsters are overpowered (OP). They have damn good effects/stats and their downsides are either heavily outweighed by the positive effects, or they have absolutely no downside at all. Add to that the fact that some of those cards have incredibly high ATK/DEF for their level or summon-cost and effect, and these cards are entirely broken. Take, for example, Shadow/Sonic Wolf. Special summon at no cost if you have another "Wolf" card. This is a wolf deck! You are almost certainly going to have a wolf on the field. Going further, these cards are almost indestructable, and have 2500 ATK to boot. To break it down further, you should seriously Wiki what a Yugioh synchro and Yugioh ritual card is and how they are treated/summoned. For starters, your ritual card "Wolf Spirit" has no ritual spell card to summon it. I know it's effect says it can be tribute summoned, but that is illegal in SO many different ways. Let's take a look: First off, it's a ritual monster without a ritual spell to ritual summon it. Second, it's a level 2 monster. Level 4s and below can't be tribute summoned. That's just not how it works. Third, it's a level 2 ritual with 3k ATK/DEF! I can almost taste the OPed-ness of it. Fourth, it's a level 2 ritual with 3k ATK/DEF that cannot be destroyed and can attack spells/traps. Fifth, it's just incredibly strong and it's downside is absolutely 0. End result: possibly the second-most overpowered beatstick in this deck, which breaks almost every rule that binds it, making it unplayable in the best of circumstances. Next for the synchro monster you made, "White Gem Dragon". It's in a similar "unplayable zone" that your ritual card is in. I will explain further: 1) Synchro cards need tuner cards to be synchro summoned, just like ritual cards need ritual spell cards to work. You can't just bypass that rule. 2) It's a level 9 with only a 2-card tribute cost. Level 9s normally take 3 cards to be tribute summoned, however there are some cards that change that. 3) It has 5k ATK at level 9 with a VERY generic summoning cost with no downside (once again). 4) I'm not sure how the last effect is supposed to be taken, it's either OP or OMG WTF JESUS CHRIST THIS IS OP. It reads "If other dragons are on the field it can get halve of it's attack". I see it as two different meanings: the OP version is that you halve the attack of any dragon card on the field and add that half to this card. Most dragons have very steep summoning costs (much steeper than this card btw) and have around 3k ATK. Thus this card would have 6.5k and the enemy dragon would simply be feeding it, and I don't see a clause saying it can only do this to one dragon. You might as well just say "Once you set this card face-up in attack position you win the duel". Next, the OMG WTF OP version would be that it gets half of it's own ATK (2.5k) for any dragon on the field besides itself. Thus, if your opponent had a Blue-Eyes and a Stardust on the field, your little synchro beatstick here would have 10k attack. Actually, now that I've thought about it, it could even be taken that it gains half of it's own ATK including modifiers, thus making it 7.5k for one dragon, and then making it 11,250 ATK because half of 7.5k is 3,750. II also don't see a clause saying that you couldn't summon two of these cards and have each of them draw 2.5k ATK from each other. Again, summoning this = instant win. I could go on, but I'd generally just be echoing Krypt12. They've told you what's wrong with your cards, and how to fix em. Use their post and Wikipedia for rules to reference and repair your cards. You have good ideas, now you just need to refine your cards to be more realistic. Another option would be to take them out of the "realist cards" section and put them in a more appropriate section that does not require you to abide by strict OCG and realistic plays. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out my Zelda set! It's in Pop Culture for now, titled "Zelda Fanboy Set". I plan on making it a complete set and posting it in the realistic cards section after refining, but there hasn't been a lot of feedback to help me out! Also any ideas to make them balanced with my deck would be good next to the card name. If anyone who reads this does know how to make a normal picture (like my Wolf's Meal picture) into the type of color format of yugioh that would be great too. newhat
I will discuss the cards that worked out well. Wolf's Staff: Just change it to "'Wolf' monster" instead of "Wolf" for correct grammar. This card can be used to set up a 2-turn kill. Tsunami Wolf: A 1900 WATER Normal Beast-Warrior. It can be used with Rescue Rabbit and Forgotten Capital Lemuria for...Never mind. Female Wolf Ninja: A 1900 DARK Normal Beast-Warrior. Sounds like Vorse Raider as a "Wolf". Snow Wolf Power: A unique card that forms a lock, but costs you Life Points if it's destroyed. Snow Wolf Warrior: A 1900 EARTH Normal Beast-Warrior, it has less ATK than Gene-Warped Warwolf but 2100 DEF. The flavor text is also nice. Wolf Warrior: Not strictly worse than Gene-Warped Warwolf, but the loss of 100 ATK hurts. Now, the cards that can be easily fixed: Wolf's Forest: 1000 is overboard. 500 or 600 is OK. Wolf to Dragon Transformation: Try "hand or Graveyard",. Being able to grab any Dragon from the Deck at -1 is game-breaking, and this card is an even more powerful -0. Tree's Life Force Absorb: Change it so it only applies to battles between monsters. Otherwise you can sit on it the whole game and your opponent can't kill you without killing themselves. Lone Wolf: Negate the effects of the single wolf. That way the opponent doesn't have to deal with a 3000 double-attacker that's immune to Trap Cards. Legendary Dragon's Aura: It's too strong right now because you can throw away useless monsters and kill strong ones. I suggest you change it to "When the equipped monster is destroyed: Target 1 monster your opponent controls; destroy it and inflict damage equal to both destroyed monsters' combined ATK to both players." Howl of the Wolf: The way it's currently written, it Special Summons from the hand, which isn't very good. Specify "from your Deck" and add "Level 4 or lower" to the requirements to make it, essentially, Emergency Teleport. Note: I'm gonna be Changing Legendary Dragon's Aura as well as any other Dragon type effects as soon as I can find a good Wolf like picture for them or figure out a good Wolf like effect like the rest. Lone Wolf: Didn't think of that! Will change to fix that. Wolf's Forest: Will change to 600 unless someone else has a higher but still balanced suggestion. Any other Cards besides the ones mentioned here that I should change? EDIT: Also. Please no suggestions like "make it a lv5 or higher monster with 1700 ATK & 1800 DEF" cuz look at this actual card. It sucks cuz you must tribute 1 monster just to have 1700 ATK & 1500 DEF! Even I have a original card that can be normal summoned that has higher ATK & DEF than it! I just don't want anyone to suggest something like that cuz otherwise I'll put a card that shows as close as possible what your saying & then a card that beats it easily. XcellentDough
I am sure you're new to yugioh so this site might help out http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page This is where I got all my information when I was just starting out! Some of these card's OCG (Official card grammar) are pretty weird, but you should have no problem fixing it once you start learning more about yugioh. Many of the post already explained what you need to fix, so you should read over them again. Other than that nice archetype!
Sonic Wolf
Thanks! I still need to fix my computer before I can fix any cards (on my Wii for now). If only I knew how to make a normal picture (like Wolf's Meal) into a drawing in Gimp or PhotoShop :/ I could fix the artwork on them then.
