They like Wetlands. They use Wetlands like Daedalus uses Umi. They become powerhouses with Wetlands. They search Wetlands. Their Xyz revives Wetlands targets. They do crazy things with Wetlands. In addition to Wetlands, they can use Junk Synchron, Junk Warrior, Graceful Revival, Moray of Greed, Salvage, Aegis of the Ocean Dragon Lord.

What's Wetlands? This is Wetlands. Now shut up about Wetlands.

You can Tribute this face-up card to target up to 2 cards your opponent controls; send those targets to the Graveyard. Then, you can add 1 "Wetlands" from your Deck to your hand. "Wetlands" must be face-up on the field to activate and resolve this effect.

If you control a face-up Level 2 or lower Aqua-Type monster, other than "Fighter-Kappa": You can Special Summon this card (from your hand). Once per turn, during your Main Phase: You can have this card gain ATK equal to the combined original ATK of all face-up Aqua-Type/WATER/Level 2 or lower monsters you control until the End Phase. Other monsters you control cannot attack this turn.

If this card is Summoned: You can add 1 "Kappa" monster OR 1 "Wetlands" from your Deck to your hand. This card can attack twice during each Battle Phase.

Guard-Kappa
FLIP: Special Summon 1 "Kappa" monster (from your Deck), then if "Wetlands" is face-up on the field: You can destroy 1 card your opponent controls.

Ambush-Kappa
If your opponent controls a monster and you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). If this card is Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Kappa" monster (from your hand), except "Ambush-Kappa".

2 Level 2 WATER Monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target up to 2 Level 2 or lower WATER monsters in your Graveyard; Special Summon those targets. This turn, they cannot activate their effects on the field or in the Graveyard, or be used for a Xyz Summon. "Wetlands" must be face-up on the field to activate and resolve this effect.

Why doesn't this have any comments . . . the lack of RC Support (or YCM Comments in general) annoy me.

Anyway on to the cards, They are made extremely well. Legit. they are all perfectly balanced and are akin to the Frog archetype, like they could be cousins or something. I like how they all revolve their field spell and can do some incredibly fast swarming. The only card I have a "problem" with (ok, I confess, It's NOT a real problem) is the Xyz. 2400 is a lot of ATK for a rank 2, though the fact that the Kappas all have a depressingly low base stats may offset that. Or maybe it won;t, seeing is it can get just as much abuse, if not more, in a frog/toad deck. I doubt I have to go in specifics for you.

And the effect of the Xyz: I don't see it very useful. Unless you're in control, then the monsters you will bring back (which would most likely be, what, Kappas? Frogs? Toads?) won't be able to trigger their devastating effects because they will most likely be destroyed before you can Xyz into another King Kappa.

The Xyz is very balanced (I think the ATK is a little too high. though that is just my opinion), but I don't see a point in reviving low level, low stat WATER monsters that must be used instantly for an Xyz summoning or their effect, which is where those kinds of monsters truly shine. Typically, the stall game with the monsters you are toying with is only good when it's needed and your opponent is in control, where King Kappa's effect just feels like it would be used when you are in control.

I think you underestimate the power of the wetlands.

With wetlands, each of these cards becomes a significant beater, with even the lowly 1000 atk becoming 2200, Compare to: Tardy orc.

Although the fact with it being a field spell, even if you do have a billion searchers and stuff does balance it out quite a bit. Maybe in another format I would say these are somewhat broken, but as is they're fine.
