I realised that with the decks I've been testing recently none of them fitted my playstyle exactly perfectly and some of them (Read: Frogs) had the issue of opening too many possible bad hands no matter how it's built.

Decided to go back to my roots and go with Heroes, specifically Bubblebeat because it's the best deck ever made since it has the best yugioh card as one of the keys to the engine.

Most of the choices should be obvious, I don't like maining Soul Taker (might up side count to 2) because it increases my opponent's life points, which may sound silly but when the deck does 8800 damage in 2 turns it becomes obvious why.

Any other choices I will gladly justify.

Gogogo.

Unless you're consistently pulling off double Blade Ninja for an OTK the 1000 LP shouldn't matter too often. Super Poly will also make cards miss the timing if other Shinings and Light Pulsars scare you that much.

Also Future Fusion and Tasuke Knight might be neat. It'll set up Hero Blast and prevent you from being OTK'd. You'll have your hand set most of the time so it that situational. Tbh I'm just too lazy to try if for myself.

I know Super Poly makes stuff miss timing, but since it's Bubblebeat I don't always have the discard, and Soul Taker's a more guaranteed out, especially against cards like Gellenduo, Spirit Reaper, the like.

FuFu sounds absolutely terrible. As is Tasuke Knight. Honestly, I don't want dead draws since the deck searches all its monsters way too fast.

Fair enough. I'd still main Soul Taker over Smashing. Honestly, it's not realistic that you'll 8800 in two turn from one Ninja, not a regular basis at least. 1000 LP shouldn't matter.

And how are Lance and Chalice doing? More specifically how often is Lance better than MST?

Yeah, considering switching them around. While I have had a few games where I have been able to Ninja 2TK I've had some serious issues dealing with the fields that Chaos Drags throw out. Gonna swap the ratios so I main 2 Soul Taker and side a Smashing.

Chalice is basically Effect Veiler that doesn't clog in hand. Lance I felt would be a better call than MST for 2 reasons, both of which actually worked out perfectly.

Basically, the biggest thing you can do in Heroes is to force your opponent's activations because you have so many chainables, blind MSTing would just be suboptimal almost all of the time. Players have to be cautious about using BTH and the like because what happens if I chain Gemini Spark? It creates a mindset where they have to overthink every move, where I have a backup more than with just 1 card. If I have Spark or Lance, I can throw down Alius as I please and not fear the backrows, Lance acts as an MST that hits exactly what I want. It also saves the Shining from random BTH, D-Prison, TT, Soul Taker, you get the idea. I've also managed to use the atk modification part of the effect well. Surprisingly, you have a lot of situations where Lancing an opponent's monster becomes very beneficial, things like Sabersaurus attacking Stratos, or something like Chaos Sorc/Darkflare attacking Alius/Stratos. There are so many situations I've been glad I had Lance instead of MST. Hopefully I explained why well enough, I dunno about my wording on some parts.
