Stan Alda
I'm a big fan of Satellite Cannon, as this old set implies [http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/281025-satellite-cannon-support/]. So it's only natural that I make an even BIGGER space laser of doom! It's probably my "biggest" (highest Level, highest ATK/DEF, strongest effects) card outside of my "Supernova Remnants". It's also my first Ritual Monster in recent memory. Needless to say, this is meant as a break from the various simple Spells I've been posting for a while. As for the overall strategy, well...just summon it and watch the fireworks. Geostationary Bombardment Satellite LIGHT Level 10 Machine/Ritual/Effect This monster can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card, "The Launch". You must also Tribute monsters whose total Level Stars equal 10 or more from the field or your hand. This monster can only declare an attack on a monster in the same column as this card. When the Monster Card Zone opposite this card is unoccupied, this monster cannot attack. This card cannot be destroyed by battle with a Level or Rank 8 or lower monster. This monster cannot be removed from the field by card effects. During each of your End Phases, this card gains 1000 ATK. If this card attacks, its ATK is returned to 2000, after damage calculation. When this monster destroys another monster in battle, decrease the ATK and DEF of adjacent monsters by 300. The attack of this monster cannot be negated. Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can move this monster to an adjacent unoccupied Monster Card Zone. This monster cannot attack during the turn you activate this effect. 2000/2000 The Launch SPELL/Ritual This card is used to Ritual Summon "Geostationary Devastator Satellite". You must also Tribute monsters whose total Level Stars equal 10 or more from the field or your hand. I have a hunch that the monster is overprotected and OP'd, but I wanted it to work without constantly being negated or destroyed by those stupid Xyzs and Synchros. As for the pic, I figured it'd be more ominous and foreboding if it didn't show the actual machine; after all, the real satellite would have to be pretty damn scary if all I could show was the control interface. newhat
Bombardment Satellite's self-protection extends farther than it should. Unless your opponent has REDMD, Tragoedia or Zeal Gigas immediately, it will be impossible to kill. You can Summon it on Turn 1 and sit on it for 20 turns until you draw Exodia or your opponent decides to give up and Summons something in Attack Position. If you change it to "destroyed by card effects" it might be OK.
Stan Alda
Good advice. I wasn't sure about how far the protective effect should go, but I wanted to err on the side of over-protection. If I under-protected it, then I'd have to think of entirely new effects. But if I over-do it, then I can just trim the effect like you suggested. You can't argue with that logic. Anyway, I'll get around to fixing it soon.
