Alice Moonflowyr
I run it at two, side the third. Three is too cloggy unless you're facing Inzektors, Rabbit, or lolWindups. And Inzektors dont much care about it.
El Majishan
I dunno about you, but no matter their protection, I like stopping a turn 1 Laggia or Dolkka. .-. Oh and have fun dropping your hand in Chaos Dragons if Veiler stops your set-up. And have fun looping when Veiler negates REDMD. Yeah, it's always out game 2 and 3, but jesus christ it's still useful against Chaos Dragons. The ONLY decks that it doesn't hurt are Heroes and Dark Worlds, and very very few rogue decks. You will find Veiler useful in almost every single game, not running it @3 is pretty stupid.
You do know Chaos Dragons "set up" with Trooper, Charge, Recharge and Future Fusion right? All of which Veiler does nothing against. The Rykos and Lylas are just there to do deal back row and are targets for Charge and Recharge....and if the Veilers come out game 2 and 3...that means they didnt do s*** game 1..thats why you're taking it out...so again its sub par against dragons. And its still meh against Rabbit...sure you stopped turn one laggia. they set an ass load of protection..because the deck is pretty much "protect the laggia" so they can pretty much play "protect the rabbit" if they have to. And again 3 clogs plus the card is a terrible top deck.
Shadius
Le Magician is the one person that deserves a cookie. 3 Veilers clumps way too much this format, in fact the only two decks that should run it are Chaos Dragons and Lightsworn outside of maybe random Chaos builds. 2 Veilers are plenty, most decks thin themselves well enough that you'll see at least one in the average game and as it was brought up Rabbit and Chaos Dragon along with Rogue decks play around Veiler and DW, Heroes and to a extent GK laugh at it. Only reason why decks like Chaos Dragons and Lightsworn can support it is they mill a veiler and it won't clump while also meeting conditions for chaos-like monsters or cards like Beckoning Light.
Rabbit has to commit a lot just to get a single Rabbit off, you do realise that most decks can take advantage of that right? And GK laugh at it? Really? They're one of the decks hit hardest by Veiler in the entire game. ._. In the current format, three Veiler is almost a complete necessity, having 3 will win you more games than it loses. And like I have stated, Veiler is decent-to-good in over half of the game 1s you should be playing, and regardless you'll be playing more games with a side deck than without, optimising game 1 by running high numbers of Effect Veiler seems to be the smartest option right now, unless your deck caters to the issue of Inzektors, Rabbit and Wind-Ups otherwise, through cards such as Macro Cosmos and Skill Drain. evilfusion
Maining 3 Veilers? Hmm...maybe a bit much. My current Rabbit Deck mains 1, with 1 in the side. Most other Decks I use run 2 with 1 sided. Veiler clogging and being completely useless against a number of Decks is why I usually hesitate to run extras, especially when trying to run a more control based Trap lineup, which will usually involve a Fiendish Chain or two, which tend to annoy Inzektors more than Veiler does.
