Synchronized
This is my first try, so don't be too harsh if there's some issues. (I'm looking at you, Chris ) 3 : Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World 1 : Dark Armed Dragon 1 : Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World 3 : Broww, Huntsman of Dark World 3 : Snoww, Unlight of Dark World 3 : Beiige, Soldier of Dark World 2 : Trance Archfiend 1 : Fabled Raven 1 : Ceruli, Monk of Dark World 3 : Gates of Dark World 3 : Dark World Dealings 2 : Dragged Down Into the Grave 2 : Mystical Space Typhoon 1 : Monster Reborn 1 : Dark Hole 1 : Card Destruction 3 : Reckless Greed 2 : Torrential Tribute 2 : Mind Crush 1 : Deck Devastation Virus So, the tech choices; Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World: I realize the majority of Dark World Decks pick either Silvva or Beiige, and focus on that part of the engine as opposed to running both. The reasoning behind running 1 is that I'm also teching Ceruli (which I'll explain in a moment), and it allows something else to go off, as well. So far, Goldd has actually been extremely useful, especially with Trance Archfiend and Fabled Raven, but I'm going to be testing more. Ceruli, Monk of Dark World: I'm going to get plenty of criticism for this one, but that's fine. I realize the Deck's don't need it, but I don't have Tour Guides at the moment and I thought of trying this @ 1 just to see how it works. So far, I've actually used it to my advantage multiple times, creating some awesome plays with Grapha and Snoww to + more than usual. I'm going to continue testing with it, but I'm aware it's not necessary, it's more of a personal choice and so far it hasn't really hurt me. Dragged Down Into the Grave: One of the best cards in the Deck, and something that really adds a control element to the Deck. I only have two, anyway, but I've found it to be much more useful @ 2 as opposed to running 3. It makes an awesome engine with Mind Crush, as well. So far, I haven't been in a situation (except when I opened awfully against HEROes) where I was like "Oh, it would be awesome if I had another Dragged Down Into the Grave", so for now, I think I'll keep it as is. Fabled Raven: I understand the arguments that this takes away some of the consistency and slows the Deck down, but I like having it @ 1 because it allows for Synchros if I need them (more often than not, I don't, but still), and it's another way to pitch cards from the hand if I don't draw into any Spells. So far, I haven't had any problems with this one, either. So, any advice or fixes? I'm not really familiar with the Deck yet so I'm going to continue trying to learn and adapt it to my personal playstyle. So far, I think I'm going to hold off on Skill Drain in the main because it conflicts with some of the other cards I run, but I could be convinced otherwise. jabber2033
No Heavy Storm? How's DAD been working out for you? I haven't seen that in DWs at all recently. It's a pretty nice deck for a first try.
This Account is Unplayable
Personally I think that no matter how harsh something is, if it's good advice is what matters, so I'll just say things like I usually do. Needs more turbo-ness. Allow me to elaborate. First of all, I see no problem in stemming away from the main DW engine, however I would most certainly recommend it for the sole purpose that it makes the best use out of all the cards. Generally you want to run: 3 Grapha 3 Snoww 3 Broww 1-2 Beiige 0-1 Sillva/Goldd (Personally prefer Sillva) 0-1 TGU (I hate it since it clogs with Drains/Dragged Down and makes Veiler live) 0-1 Trance Archfiend (Hate it for the same reasons as TGU plus it needs another DW in hand to function and it's really not that good because of it) 0-1 Malefic Stardust 0-1 Raven (Again, I hate making Veiler live) I'd advise only running 1 non-DW out of all of that, allowing you to use 3 Dragged Downs, which are honestly optimal and pretty much the best card in the deck excluding Grapha. You definitely want Heavy Storm, and Foolish Burial. Heavy can be played so well in this deck, players will set their backrows since they don't expect it, you simply use all of yours since... well it's not hard, drop Heavy and proceed to win. Foolish basically reads "Normal Summon Grapha from your deck." MSTs aren't worth the space in DWs most of the time, since you generally have a full 40 by the time it comes to adding them, but I can understand using them and have no qualms with it. If you can, make space for BoM. It's so helpful for saving Grapha from BTH and D-Prison, and it's pretty much the most usable spell to stop your opponent. I'd advise testing Upstarts, anywhere between 1 and 3. Trap lineup should look more like this: 3 Reckless 2 TT 0-2 Mind Crush 1 Skill Drain 1 Deck Dev 1 Judgment 0-1 Return from the DD 0-2 BTH 0-1 Call of the Haunted 0-1 Dark Deal Pretty sure I haven't missed anything. Oh and Dark Armed is absolutely horrible.
Synchronized
I'm not sure how I feel about maxing out three Dragged Down into the Grave. I like it a lot, and I realize the potential awesomeness, but sometimes I end up drawing into it in a time where I really don't want to use it. I'm hesitant to set my entire hand (aside from things they could hit), because that's a waste of some cards if they go Heavy Storm or something along those lines. I don't have a third one yet anyway, so I can't really test it, but when I do get one, I'll try it out for sure. I dropped an MST for a Heavy Storm, and I'm going to drop the other one for a Foolish Burial. I totally blanked on Upstart Goblin, but I don't see why I couldn't run that, either. Problem's gonna be finding a playset, but I'm sure I've got one around here somewhere. So something along the lines of - 1 Trance Archfiend - 1 Beiige - 1 Ceruli +3 Upstart Goblin
